I've got the witness forms ready, I got a new heidenau front tire put on the bike, installed my heated grips, packed all my stuff and I'm ready to go. I'm gonna leave around 4 tomorrow morning and then I've got 1120 miles to go to my dads house! I'll try to take some pics but it's a pretty boring stretch from here to there lol

Stopping just west of Lincoln Nebraska for a quick lunch, I'm almost half way! 40-45 degree temps for the first 5 hours of the ride were pretty horrible, after a while I was shivering so hard the bars were wobbling...but the sun is out now and all is good

Made it here last night just past midnight Michigan time, took about 18 hours! I'm definitely stretching that ride out over two days to come home

Good work man. The cold is the worst. I keep meaning to invest in some heated gear. Once you get cold on the bike there is just no way to warm back up, and you can only add so many layers before it's just not comfortable to be on the bike and move around.

Not sure what gear you wear but I've found that if you make sure your outermost layer is wind proof then it helps cut down a lot on how much insulation you need. I love my leathers for that but my Cortec GX jacket was great too.

well after getting rained on for 6 hours straight on the way home wednesday afternoon i finally stopped in nebraska when the wind and rain and lightning were creating the perfect storm. It was horrible, after that long of a period in that heavy of rain with that much wind my waterproof gear had reached its limits and was becoming not waterproof. I got a hotel wednesday night to let eveyrthing dry and get some rest then finished the last 5 hours of the trip thursday morning.

I am spoiled from riding at sea level for three days, my bike was a completely different animal down there! It would power wheelie in first so easy and felt like it had so much more power, it was crazy.

I stopped and rode a '13 tiger explorer 1200 at foothills when I got home....I want one pretty bad, I fit a lot better. But I owe too much on my bike still, I'd end up way upside down if I traded it in on the explorer.

Yeah I hear ya. I've put off new bike dreams until we get the rest of our debt paid off (minus the new truck). I want to get into a house so everything is gonna be simplified to get to the no debt zone.

I found out last night from triumph usa that they are a bunch of retards over at foothills triumph. Turns out they have had my aarow exhaust that came with the bike since june 30th. I went and dealt with that this morning and picked up a center stand while i was there since they had it in stock and im tired of using a harbor freight jack and wood to work on the bike lol.

I got the center stand installed then pulled off the rear wheel and took it over to performance cycle and got a heidenau k60 scout installed to match the front tire. The rear tire was done after my trip, it started wearing really funky imo due to the dual compound tread

Got some chain cleaner and one of those brushes then cleaned my chain for the first time since i go the bike lol....ive lubed it before but never cleaned it. Got the rear wheel remounted and put the aarow exhaust on then went and cleaned the bike up

I took the bike up deer/turkey creek and was surprised that the bike still handles really well with the knobbies on, but highway speeds is another story. Anything above 75-80 and the front end feels light and twitchy like the bike needs a steering stabilizer now. Im excited to get it in some dirt and see how different the bike handles with 50-50 tires.

Just got home from a weekend at my folks to find my bike missing. This place has gone to shit. Someone already rubbed against the jeep. And now the bike is ****ing stolen. Greaaaaaaaat

Not even considering that yet. Guess it's been a big spree this week. Hoping they catch em and I get it back in one piece.

Went on a little adventure on sunday...I rode Rampart Range rd from sedalia down to garden of the gods. It was about 65 miles or so of all dirt roads, some smooth sections, some rocky, lots of washboards, lots of switchbacks, and lots of fun!

I even road some of the dirt bike trails next to the road near sedalia, and that was pretty cool...until i washed the front end out in a sandy/gravely corner and tipped the bike over. Luckily i was going slow when it happened so nothing got hurt or even scratched, but god damn was that thing hard to get back up by myself.

Any developments on your stolen bike Mike?

That blows goats. Is your insurance treating you ok with the bolt-ons too?
