Thanks for posting these up Dutch, that was a fun ride today. I was wondering if anyone got pictures of that cloud that built up and finally blew over us. Cool stuff.

XJTodd - Your rig is still one of the sexiest rigs out there. I've got a thing for the ARB bumper and Bushwhacker combo with a decent lift. I'd never take it hard core 'crawlin with that bumper/flare combo, but it sure looks great on the light/moderate trails. But you definitely need to get some rock rails on there before you regret it........

Was that 'Runner turbo'd? I spy some funky tubing poking thru the hood.... ?

And what's up with this mess?

Looks like a decent trail with some great views.

Actually my buddy Matt just got done swapping in a 3.4L V6 from a later model 4Runner/Tacoma into his. His 4Runner came with the older and completely gutless 3.0 V6. Its the intake manifold and throttle linkage you see poking through the hood, needless to say the newer 3.4L V6 is a bit taller than the old 3.0L.

What you see in the back are whats left over from doing the swap (he finished it last saturday) and the unfortunate paint can that exploded while going up the trail. Apparently loose metal brackets + loose spray paint can + lots of bouncing on the trail = minor paint explosion. :D

Ah....... exploded paint......LOL! :D

That 'Yota guy should get an old 5.0L mustang hood scoop, mount it backwards and open the hood a bit more around those parts and he'd get some good heat venting out of it.

Looks like you guys had way more fun than I did. I would have spent the day wondering about those little odds-n-ends I've neglected.

Oh well, I finally got this off the back burner:

Haha....yeah, I was reminded of that this weekend too (my wife says it all!):

It didn't do much damage, just a little ding under the door sill.

I love the vid where you smack your rocker because you can hear her go, "Oh ****"

Sweet pics man, glad y'all had fun.
