Has anybody worked with or know TSM manufacturing in Castle Rock? They have some good pricing on rear disk conversion kits. Here is their link.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I had their rear disc kit for the D44 on my yellow rig. Wasn't a fan. The lever action Caddy e-brake calipers they use don't have enough pad surface on the rotor. It never held my XJ in place - not even on the mild slope of my driveway. At their suggestion, I got new, custom length e-brake cables since the YJ ones I had were too long. Still didn't solve the problem. The brackets kept coming loose too. Too many bolts for the design. I ended up putting the drum brakes back on and was plenty happy with that set up.

I know you're running a different setup - but thats what I know of the kit I had.

ran them but use front calipers not the caddys no complaints

Thanks guys. I'll just keep an eye out for ZJ rear brakes. Time to make a bone yard run.

For what axle Ken? Two weeks ago at pull-n-save I saw a D-35 already set up with discs . It was on a '92, had 3.73 gears, open; might be an ABS axle???

I ran them on my old Scout D44 that used to be under the XJ, same experience as troy -- however, the larger Caddy calipers (pre 1978) that they use on their larger applications (D60, 70, 9inch) are far better -- I have a friend runs his on an F350 conversion, and they work great. Their customer service does blow, however -- they sent me the wrong spacers for their "universal" mounting brackets, and they really didn't give a rats ass that that left me stranded in Cheyenne installing them, and forced me to go have the proper part machined. HTH:roll:
