Trailer hitch spare tire carrier?

Alright, a while ago I started a thread on rear bumpers and all the different companies that make them for our XJ's.

How about a list of companies that make tire carriers that fit into a standard 2" trailer hitch receiver?

It seems to be a good option for those of us that have more than one vehicle that we'd like to carry the spare outside of the passenger compartment. Switch it between the vehicles, save money, everyone likes saving money right? :D

i drilled a 1/2 hole in my hitch welded a nut to it and tighten a bolt into the reciever. it basically wedges the reciever against the opposite side of the hole making it tight!

I've thought about this idea too, but the thing is, when I tow, now I have no spare. I would rather carry the tire in the rear like my current setup, and put the money I save from buying a hitch carrier towards the rear bumper carrier.

Haha...now THAT looks rather interesting....just might work though! Looks like it might put the spare tire above the roof line though, no?

Might at that--nothing a cut-off saw and a welder couldn't fix.
