TPS grounding?

What do you guys think about my decision to ground both tps connectors to firewall? Does it do any harm? The car is 90 cherokee with 4.0 engine+at...

Normally they ground to the dipstick holder, along with the major ground from the battery. Moving them to the firewall actually moves them farther from a major ground and through another connection or two. I put an extra ground from my battery to the body (front clip), and ran an extra ground from the TCU ECM ground at the dipstick holder to the firewall, just soldered on a piggy back ground. Check the ring connector on your TCU ground at the dipstick, mine was green, I replaced it and soldered it, it was just crimped on, the ECM ground was already soldered..
Jneary said there is recommendation to move the grounds for the ECM and the TCU to the motor side of the battery ground connection at the dipstick.

I installed new grounds because during tps adjusting I noticed that voltage was over 0,1V(0,29 and 0,4)on both connectors and I have gotten information that says if voltage is over 0,1V extra ground should be installed.

the tps uses available voltage for adjustment, so whatever the voltage range you had, the % reading would be the same. 0% would still be 0% and 100% would stil be 100% of available voltage etc. still recommended setting is 12-14%, whatever the reference voltage is
