With common sense and knowing your's and your vehicle's limits, you wont have to use em!!! :lecture:

YES, I know that rules out a LOT of people in the MWC!!

TRUE... I did learn by having to employ my vehicle extraction modifications.

Does mud to the bottom of your headlights count as a learning experience?? (I WAS smart enough to climb my big ass out the window and not try to open a door!!!)

Im not to worried about getting stuck(once I get the recover points on). I just hope the motor/trans holds up when I take her out lol. I want to go for a test drive this weekend, but Im not sure where. I know the cliff will be muddy as HEdoubble hocky sticks and I dont know if thats a good idea yet. I have yet to buy my recovery straps and odds and ends to keep in the truck. I have to get on that this weekend.

4.0's are nearly bulletproof, just be wary of the air intake behind the drivers headlamp. hydrolocking a motor sucks.
as for the trans, aw4's are also nearly bulletproof, only excess heat kills them. So if you're worried about it toss an aux trans cooler on.

I dont plan on hitting to much water right now. I did ditch my old air box for a Rustys airtube and K&N 7" cone. So even with my 195,000 I should be ok al long as I let her cool down from time to time. How hard is it to install a trans cooler, and how much might I be looking at for the parts? thanks tim
