Will 235/75-15's work on 8" rims?
What are the pros and cons of that small of tire on a wide rim like that?

Reason for this question - got a cheap set of Ford truck steel rims I want to use on my car trailer so I can get rid of the 14.5" mobile home rims.

Thanks!

if you can find someone to mount them, they will work, ran that setup on my old dodge:

it's hell on the sidewalls though

I took a quick look at the Cooper Tire web site. Only looked at the Discoverer LT, but they're probably all similar. The recommended rim width for a 235/75R15 is 6.0" - 7.5". I don't think that extra half inch is going to make much difference at all. I think you'll be fine.

What's the bolt circle on the hubs? I may have a set of wheels here you can use.

Hey Eagle,

Bolt circle is 5 on 5.5" (Ford truck/CJ pattern). Let me know if you have anything.

Thanks!

No joy. The rims I have are 5 on 5" = I guess that's a Chevy half-ton rim?

Sorry.
