Tire Help... Interco TrXus STS Radials

First off, sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever used the Interco TrXus STS tires on their XJ's. I'm more likely to run into Sand and Mud where I live in Florida than rocks. But I'm wanting to stay away from traditional mud tires because most of my driving will be on road. My other consideration is the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's though they are a lot more expensive (sell them at the shop I work at).

The only guys I know who have run these had a '04 GMC 2500 and a '88 K5. I don't know about the sand, but they suck in the mud, bad. They might be good on a mall crawler. As long as you aren't going to be in heavy mud, go to Walmart and get some General Grabber ATs. Almost identical to the BFG ATs, just cheaper. If you are gonna be in heavy mud then stay away from allterrains. Just my 2cents.

The STS's are supposed to be good in sand, not too agressive, so there's no digging really, but if you plan on being in mud and want to make it through, consider some MTs. Yeah yeah, you want to stay away from mud terrains, but they're not bad these days. I've got a set of Dunlop Mud Rovers on my XJ with mostly street driving since getting them and they do hum down the road, but not obnoxiously, especially compared to the wind noise the Jeep creates. They're reasonably priced and have lasted alright. BFG MT KMs are supposed to be real good also, there's many who've gotten 30-40k miles out of em.

trxxus m/t's aren't bad in mud, and are pretty good on the highway, i drive em everyday, need to balance with airsoft though.

my friend has those sts on his grand cherokee, shrug, they're as good as my m/t's in the sand, and terrible in mud, they are quieter on the road though.

You might want to consider some Dick Cepek Mud Country tires. They have a fairly agressive tread pattern but are pretty quiet on the streets.
