Time for OBA....

Well, on my way home from down today, i got this nasty smell comming from under the hood of my jeep. About the same time, my A/C stopped blowing cold. Got home, the front of the compressor was covered with this nasty tar-like substabce. And, the A/C was on, but the compressor was not spinning. Froze up solid, and the clutch dosent even try to grab. The whole thing was so hot it would boil water off it. So, i guess its time to do that OBA conversion. But i now need to locate a decent stock compressor and clutch to fit my 93 4.0. Anyone in the area have one laying around?

Try a PnP if no one has one. Not sure how much they are, but I bet it wouldnt be too much.

Yeah, i know i can get one from PNP. Just wanted to check here first. And we might have a almsot new one at work i can have, but i have to look at it.

Looked everywhere for one today, a couple small wrecking yards up here, and PNP. Found out none of the earlyer compressors fit my bracket. Has to be for a 91-93 4.0 or a 88-93 2.5. And PNP is getting to pricey. Its up to $40 for a compressor, $20 for a clutch, before tax and cores and all. Id have been up to about $75 out the door. So, if anyone has one localy and will give me a better price, im still looking.
