So my uncle grabbed an old 68 waggy.

way too tall, with 38s, LP44 up front, lp60 with 5.13s and rear detroit . open front.

thing is pretty darn tall. PO put way too many leaves in , stock leaves, with a SOA.

so the PO decided to bend the stock drag link . 12" tall is the bend. thing actually drives down the road jsut fine (amazed me)

but I am worried about him wheeling it. I told him not to wheel it until he can install a flat top knuckle and get the drag link over the leaves and nice and flat. and to remove 3 leaves to bring the front down to 8 leaves.

I also said for now that he should grab some ruffstuff chevy tie rod ends and DOM and we can build a stronger setup Z link for now, plate and gusset it, just so he can run it. but then I am thinking, might as well do a high steer at this point.

anyone running a Z drag link that is over 3" tall?

I used to have one in one of my old scouts back in the day. ignorance. I had no idea how unsafe it was. same setup. too tall, spring over, no high steer. i cant believe I drove it on the road...
