The weirdest thing that you damged on the trail

Had my XJ rearview drop in my lap once somewhere out east of Phoenix. Apparently hot weather and a little bumpin' around loosened it.

Ripped the lightbar off my 87 Toyota when I caught a pine branch under it. That's when I decided to relocate the lights after doing some body work to repair the tear. The worst part was that you couldn't see the tear when the truck was standing still. At highway speeds the whole bar would tip back 20 degrees and start howling...I'd stop and so would it.

Someone posted a broken oil sender unit; I did that on the highway to Boise once. Ended up JB Welding a quarter onto the end of it and driving home.

5 inches of rain in a few hours will do that - you should upgrade to titanium arms for NACFest '04.

We still haven't heard from a few who's tents were next to the stream at Red Ridge. :D

that was a rough drive home that night.

apparently during the day, something shifted in my chassis and broke the seal around my sunroof. drip, drip, drip, drip, for 70 fawking miles

but it was worth it :D:D:D

I used to have a '74 Commando with a plow. Word to the wise, don't 'wheel with the plow frame attached. After smacking a partially submerged boulder and standing the thing on it's nose (lap belts aren't nearly as good as a 5-point - I bloodied my nose) I learned, welded or not, the plow frame will indeed come off.
