they talked about the zombie slaves like she kept them for a sort of camo, that way she could walk amongst walkers but I figured they were nothing more then mules to carry all the gear.

They were her family. That was pretty obvious by the dinner conversation and the way she acted. I think she kept them for camo and pack mules.

Gotcha. I was looking into that one on audio book recently.

I listened to it. The book was written in the first person and the guy it a total smart ass. The guy narrating it sounds like Ray Romano. Makes for an interesting listen.
