The tale of the $500 XJ

damn something is not right. Go through everything and try to figure out what is going on.

Hahahaha! I think Sam is in love with my tires.

Well if the axle is shot I'm not too worried because I have a spare 30 sitting around at Casey's house, with all new components. But I can't fix anything until after the insurance adjuster looks at it.

That's the idea. I plan to, once I go to swap the front axle in, to add my long arm cross memeber, and my frame stiffeners. It'll be a full rebuild and upgrade from this point on. Trying to get a quote on tubing right now for the cage as well.

Well the lady's insurance called me. They've established full liability and asked me to take the jeep to a shop for estimates.

Gordon is right about that

Make sure they drive it/ you take them on the fwy too..lol death wobble should get a funny reaction.

just loosen the track bar bolts all a little bit to ensure DW sets in...
They will shit their pants.
Get them to itemize the cost of every aftermarket part on there- like at a 4x4 shop.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA thanks for the laughs and advice guys. It's already got dw around 45.

I think that my front locker broke and stripped the ring gear. (For real though the front axle is making quite the noise, sounds like carrier bearings).

I'm having the adjuster meet me at one of the only 4x4 shops here. But I don't want the shop to do the repairs for me because I'm planning on upgrading everything associated with the front end in the coming weeks. How can I get the insurance company to just give me the check instead of the shop? Just tell them I'll do the repairs myself?

Well I'll make sure to tell the adjuster to just give me the check.

Not gonna lie pat, you do have a sexy bumper. Why are you getting rid of it?

He bought a Dirtbound DIY winch bumper if I'm not mistaken.
