Look why don't we just call this event what it is , The begining of the year So Cal ego boost. Why else would they hold it in the middle of build season, 5 hours from home??? I guess that makes it easier for them to go get new parts, and keeps it a Cali only type group.We know they only invite us so they can gang up on us.Maybe we don't show up cause you are all mean to us . I mean hell you make us spot for ourselves on the trail so you can stay at the front of the group,tell us our jeeps are to tall,our axles are too small...... OK,realy all I need to do is swap my motor real quick, buy new/replace all 4 axle shafts, build another d 30 for the front(so I have an extra) , pick up Troys trailer (since he wants me to go so bad) and find someone to ride shotgun for the 16 hour dr.

Oh yeah ,I need a DD for my wife to drive while I got HER truck in AZ

Notice 22/23 Jan we are swapping my motor, don't know with what yet :dunno: but we are swapping it. if its cold bring your own propane.I will provide pizza,Troy has graciously donated $50 for beer!! :cheers:

We came to CO and no one showed up. Even ran 21 Road on a Sunday and no one from CO showed up. :dunno: We might as well stay closer to home. We talked about it being further for the CO guys, but we decided that it didn't make any difference....they weren't likely to come anyway. :gag:

We run in the desert in the winter......it's too damn hot in the summer.

Naahh. We'd have to give a $hit first.
I think the problem is more that the CO XJ guys progress past xj's into other rigs while the CA guys value the sta-wag a little more, so in the end you have a larger pool to draw from out there.

Engine is in and WT is on the road and driving.I think Led said we're going to build axles this weekend-woo hoo!

The reservations are made,the Jeep is running again,rear axle shafts are on the way with a 10 year warrenty(ROTF) 2 sets of front alloys and one set of randys supper joints are sitting on the shop floor.Just need to beef up the new 30 housing a bit and swap the gears over and get it in the jeep. also nee to add a few tubes to the rear upper cage.got the 5 new tires are on Dames trailer.So yes I will be there.....eating ramen noodles ..... but I will be there.
