I emailed that guy and he said it was working fine when he took the D30 out...



...2 years ago. He said it's been sitting for 2 years. It also has no axles, no trac bar mount, no sway bar mounts either.

yea, thats what i figured aswell. seemed like a good deal especialy since i am getting ready to regear. only thing that bothered me about it was "no axles", which leaves me to think the owner might have snapped them with the locked 30. no big deal as long as the carrier didnt get chewed.

parting out 95 ZJ or will sell it for $500. says engine is good but frame is bent and sway bar broken. seats look in great shape would be good for a swap into an XJ.

the ZJs are notorious for tearing the rear track bar mounting bracket off the frame, if thats all that is wrong with it, it would DEFINATELY be worth the 500$ to pick up the whole jeep. maybe he confused the track bar for a sway bar :dunno: Its in San Pedro.

sounds like whoever rebuilt it either didn't put the wrist pins in right and the piston bound up, or didnt prime the oil pump and it ate the bearings and started to seize up. either way free ain't a bad deal but the no pink is kind of iffy :dunno: might be good for parts if you can make the shell "dissapear" :eyes:

edit: ah i just read the part about the oil galley plug. :doh:

nifty little trick, hit ctrl-f5 and it forces a reload including all images.
