has no frame tie-ins. I wouldn't trust that towing a trailer or pulling out a stuck jeep.

I wouldn't either. The end of the frame rail is only held to the crossmember with 5-6 spot welds, and right-angle bends in sheetmetal held together with bolts in "null shear" don't really give me the warm and fuzzies when a lot of force is involved.

Those are not the easiest to mount on XJs and they are pretty tall.

hahaha... yeah I'd been awake for ~24 hours when I wrote that, and at work for 23 or so of them, I wasn't exactly writing my best. Still, running that bumper and using it as a recovery point would worry me. A lot.

From the background it looks fresh out of the chop shop and fresh paint might be a giveaway that this was in a wreck but fixable and now the shop wants to make a profit...
