The Official CraigsList Thread...

There out of there damn minds. can do that build for a third of that cost

I am not advocating for the listing. But the base JK is probably pushing 1/3 of the price listed. Axles, tires and rims are probably over $10k. You still got to figure the suspension, bolt ons and mods.

My guess is that you'd be well north of $50k and easily approaching $60k to put this together. The balance would be the value of the bolt ons and install labor.

Still if I had a jeep budget anywhere near that, I'd want to do or at least have it done myself.

I wan't to go and meet the guy to...
1. Laugh at him for thinking he could get 4K...
2. Kick him in the junk for not knowing how to spell "wheelie bar" and for claiming... Custom built whillie bar and Baja style brush guard
3. Watch him work those "scissor turning brakes to slide the fat 33 inch BF Goodrich tires on the rear"

Give him 10% and like Yamadevil says let Grimm max it out... maybe he can make use of those "scissor turning brakes to slide the fat 33 inch BF Goodrich tires on the rear"

HAHA Grimm is the chapters test driver. if it survives that it is a worthy unit

if he would have actually taken the time to build a chassis for it instead of just plopping it on top of a couple pieces of square tube I'd drive it to it's doom. I wouldn't drive that thing for money man, guaranteed death is no fun. Now if there was a slight chance I'd survive i'd be all for it :D

Swingaway tire carrier - $89 (Templeton)

Maybe a little too far north for So. Cal. but thought I'd pass it on.

Swingaway tire carrier - $89 (Templeton)

Swing-a-way tire carrier from a Jeep Cherokee. Mounts are a little bent up, but if you are handy with a welder you could cut the mounts off and make your own to fit just about anything. Could be made to work on a Samurai, Jeep, Land Cruiser, Bronco, Blazer, etc. Come take a look and make me an offer. I can always accept paypal too.
