STILL STARTS AND RUNS
I DRIVING IT EVERYWHERE.
BUT IT STARTED MAKING EXPLOSIONS
THE MECHANIC SAID IT MIGHT BE THE
HEAD GASKET OR TIMMING BELT
ITS CLEAN FROM INSIDE AND OUT.. AND HAS CURRENT TAGS
 
Hey. New to the board, but ran Cleghorn with a group of you in my 4Runner and have wanted an XJ ever since. Now is the time as someone stole my truck last week. I've been looking around, but am not finding too many on the market right now. Assuming it is in good shape, what's a fair price for this one: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/2356210262.html? The guy tells me it has a 3 inch procomp lift, new stereo and 31 inch tires, but is otherwise stock. $5k seems pretty high, no?
 
i'd offer him him half that. unless it's showroom clean in and out I'd never pay that much for something with over 100k on the clock.

If your looking for a clean 97+ style XJ with a 3" lift and 31's then I may be able to help. I know a guy selling his 01 Silver 60th Anniversary edition with a 3" lift on 31's. It's the cleanest XJ in and out that I have ever seen. It has around 115k on the odemeter and has been babied it's whole life. If your interested shoot me a PM and I will give you his number. His asking price was around 5k but I'm pretty sure that was just his starting price and he is probably quite negotiable with that.

Johns rig is built well, i've seen it and it's a steal at that price. just throwing that out there :peace:
