The Official CraigsList Thread...

I was just going to ask. I've seen hundreds of CL ads for XJ's that say V6.

Are these just goofballs that don't know the A$$ end of a rhino or did someone put a V6 in an XJ? I have never heard of it till Craigslist.
 
Not bad for a decent stocker of that year.


Due to a few defects this Jeep is being discounted $1500 down to $2375. The know defects are as follows:
Transfer case makes some noise (bad bearing?)
Driver window has a little trouble going up (needs regulator replaced)



I was kind of intrigued by this one, but how much $$ or work involved to get the TC issue resolved??

The transfer case is probably not an expensive fix if you can do the work yourself. I rebuilt mine with all new bearings and seals for around $100.

What John said or you can pick up a used one for around $200 and then have a spare. :)

they're just goofballs. the only ones with V6s could be 85-86s but you dont see those very often. i think its time people learned that not all engines are in a V configuration! :lecture:
