The transfer case is probably not an expensive fix if you can do the work yourself. I rebuilt mine with all new bearings and seals for around $100.Due to a few defects this Jeep is being discounted $1500 down to $2375. The know defects are as follows:
Transfer case makes some noise (bad bearing?)
Driver window has a little trouble going up (needs regulator replaced)
I was kind of intrigued by this one, but how much $$ or work involved to get the TC issue resolved??

I was just going to ask. I've seen hundreds of CL ads for XJ's that say V6.
Are these just goofballs that don't know the A$$ end of a rhino or did someone put a V6 in an XJ? I have never heard of it till Craigslist.
