Anyone give me a good brand for speakers/tweeters for my truck?
Going to get a new head unit with Bluetooth for hands free calling thanks to NH's dumb new law. Figure it's a good time to upgrade anyway as I still have the stock deck.

Polk, Boston Acoustics, or Rockford Fostage. Anything cheaper is junk, however, you can spend more if you'd like. What deck did you get?

I've still got the pair of those Kappa Perfect 10" subs, new in box. Even an amp if you want it.

Those are nice subs. I'm oddly happy with two 6.5" subs I have, and am pretty surprised I haven't blown up the factory harmon/kardon 4" speakers yet.

Haven't ordered anything yet. Was just looking at that one.
I'm honestly not looking to spend a whole bunch, but I don't want a POS. I always had good luck with Kenwood head units, but I haven't purchased one in probably about 8 years. I've honestly never bought a pair of speakers.
With the installation stuff (including steering wheel control adapters), add another $100 on top of that. I figure I can get away with spending like $250 for 4 speakers and 2 tweeters? No idea.
Put it this way, Kate's WK2 sound system (which is literally the base model) sounds amazing to me. So that's where my standards are :laugh:.

Idk why crutch field isn't loading for me, but that looks like a slightly updated of the deck that I have, which I would recommend. This one does NOT play CDs, which I would love because it is much shallower.... and I have zero room in my dash and never use CDs anyway.
It's cheap on amazon, idk what crutchfield has it for.

If it does, the speakers are probably blown. I never had one that held up.

Oh ok sweet, didn't even look at Amazon prices.
I think I have the infinity sound system? I have factory tweeters in the a-pillars if that helps.
All my speakers are fine, just one tweeter isn't working that I broke. They're just not great quality and I figure now's a good time to upgrade.

If you do, the stereo will say infinity and the big speakers in the door will say infinity or infinity gold on them. you need to know, bc if you do there is an amp you need to either wire in or bypass. what year is your truck?

I wouldn't be too sure until you've pulled them, I had some that were starting to separate but didn't sound blown yet. Definitely a good move to upgrade. I had four 6.5" Alpine Type S that I bought in 09 or so that I used in a couple different Jeeps. I liked how they sounded and the price was really good; granted, I don't know how much better than factory stuff they actually were.
