THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. :wave1:

I'd bet he's serious, that's definitely a great deal.

Srs. If I had that kind of cash kicking around and a truck and wanted to get back into wheeling, I'd be all over that. But I'm none of those things. I don't see why you wouldn't get what you're asking, especially if someone has seen it in person.

Thanks. I cried a little inside when trying to come up with the price. I have a bunch more into it but as you guys know these ain't 'investments'.

For the record my wife DOES NOT want it to sell. I'm not sure if it is because she doesn't want another project afterwards or if she really loves that Jeep so much. I'm betting on both.

Yeah.. we'll see. I'm still on the fence about letting it go anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

I've had the CJ/YJ idea for several months lol I think I posted about it late last year and Chris asked how I'd fit my stupid big drivetrain into one lol.

Definitely a buyer's market on something like this. Seems like anything priced even a little bit too high sits forever.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

I think that's a reasonable price Bill. I don't think you'll have a problem selling it personally, but I agree with Dave it's definitely a buyers market.

What's your plan for another build?

I plan on trying to reuse almost everything I currently have in my MJ, but will probably have to redo the fuel system (selling my current cell) and going with a stock YJ tank. May even need a different radiator but I'd love to try and fit the one I have first.

may even be worth hitting up Justin and finding a clean SW frame and tub, but should be a pretty easy swap of everything. im cutting mine off behine the rear CLayton crossmember next winter and tubing it, the leftover sheetmetal is coming off to although I may keep some as skins.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

I need to find a TIG welder soon. I've got a lot of TIG planned on the Nova and need to bring Mark's back to him.

You can hang onto it for now. I could have really used it this weekend, but I reassembled everything yesterday and it seems fine. If that bolt starts moving again, I'm driving to your place and you're tacking the bolt for me :D

If it wasn't the holiday weekend, I would have driven it down. I have a lot of TIG planned for the nova, so its a good excuse to just go buy one. Plus I made $1900 selling a nv4500 :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Well today sucks. Got new bolts for the starter this morning to get it running/ try to diagnose whats going on, stripped the top bolt and ripped one of the wires on my spare and now have no starter. Cool. Replaced the ujoint in the driveshaft at least.

Still trying to figure out the tranny leak though. I changed the fluid 3 days before this happened and might have overfilled it a little but theres nowhere for it to overflow in an ax15 right? The trans/ t case have been running really hot recently which is why I changed the fluids but apparently that didn't help, t case was stupid hard to shift after I had pulled over and tried to put it in 4wd. Maybe the seal between the two finally went bad from the heat? Doesn't seem to leak while sitting, only at high speeds, and when I checked the fluids this morning they both overflowed out of the fill plug a little. Picking up a new starter tonight so hopefully I can take it for a quick drive and see if it still hates life.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Looks like everyone is planning the demise of their XJ chassis on here... I've been busy plating aroung the steering box unibody. Going to bubble-gum and bandaid mine back together as best I can for this year.

I've been mulling over the idea of building a chassis from scratch for a while now and have parts set aside for a rainy day. Seems like it may come to be this winter.

OR maybe I'll just part it out and sell the comanche and buy a Tacoma...

Man yesterday was baaaad. There was over a 14 mi backup on Route 6 getting off the cape around noon. I had to run into Hyannis to get some parts, and it was a shit show getting home. I had thought about asking you to swing down, but I knew Monday was going to be bad so I wasn't going to ask that hell upon you.

No traffic getting off at 11:50pm when I finally got around to leaving last night though

We were stuck in PA on our way back from WV yesterday for at least an hour and a half... that I84 construction sucks the big one...

Only saving grace was that we trailered down there with an RV and could drink our way to and from WV

We left West Dennis at 815am and it took 1:25 to get home when it normally takes 1:15. Not too bad, but that's why we left early.
