3rd pedal required, found a nice low milage 05 6.0 Chevy but I aint paying 18k for it.
Maybe if it was a 6.6L but surely not a 6.0L.

Try about 3k lbs lighter.

My empty truck on the scales at the dump is at 6900 lbs without me in it.

I'm curious about Bill's experience as I'm sure his truck is closer to mine in terms of weight and usage.

600 lbs lighter than my truck. Mine still has the tires I bought it with (bridgestone somethings). They've got good tread and hold air.

Gimme 8 grand and i'll sell you my 6.0L Chevy. It's only got 148K miles.

Lolol that thing struggles to get up a hill by itself.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Kinda why I was asking. :pirate1:

If Rob gives me $8k for my truck i'll sell the WJ as well and buy a $10k truck and a $3-4k beater.

Different application, but my Toyo m/t's continue to impress me.

No measurable treadwear yet, you guys know how they work offroad. They are absolutely beast in the snow, even with the autolockers the truck goes right where I point it (given that I'm not taching the shit out of it). Even braking it stays twice as sure footed where my abs equipped car on skinny snow tires did.

You saw how well my Toyo M/T's did in the deep snow at your place a few years ago after Dave and Buster's. I loved those tires.

These look *really* similar to the LS ignition coils I just used.

Which is because they likely came from Delphi anyway:

actually that is one of the ones used on newer-generation GM stuff.

Interesting.

Motor sounds wicked on the dyno. I'd love to see more of the internals on the thing.

So one of my fuel leak aperently is the fuel heater on top of the filter housing is known to have bad o rings. Still ain't gonna change me looking for a new truck. And plus it ain't like its spilling fuel all over the motor

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Can you just delete the fuel heater and bypass is? I did that on my 12v since its a common leak spot and they're pretty worthless anyways.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Also, how can a person fail at reading a tape measure?!? Tech said he measured off 50', I get there and its 70'+10' of curb. I asked him where he learned math and he just looks at me and goes "oh, I guess I was off a little bit."

Yeah, was told to thread it and use 1/2 pipe thread plug. Now anyone have said tap?

In further reading, that's probably not what it came with originally. The motor in that story had been retrofitted to a MoTec computer so they probably reached the same conclusion I did when needing an ignition source...and the one in the dyno video has some kinda weird thing that sorta looks like ignition coils hanging above it.

I have never thought about flat-plane V8's, ever, and then came across two badass ones yesterday - that LPM and the new GT350 Mustang. Of course the latter has Tim @ LII already researching to see what's different between that one and the 5.0. :D

He's doing cams in his over the next two months; he wants to inspect the cylinders anyway so it's not much more work. That'll be pretty nasty for next year...

The main benefit of flat plane V8s is higher and faster revs. All the other reasons why they aren't used are irrelevant to a race car.

Someone reads Jalopnik. :)
