THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The main difference between the PSC pump and the OEM should pretty much be just the orifice size on the high pressure fitting, and that bypass spring pressure tweaked.

(they also are much more careful with inspecting cores for tolerance, and assembly, but the guts are pretty much the same)

You should be able to unscrew the high-pressure fitting from the PSC one and drop the ball/spring/fitting/etc right into the OEM pump.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Although neither situation would result in blowing the pump shaft seal.

That would likely happen if the bypass pressure relief is set too high or is stuck. There's a spring that controls it and it's a common homebrew mod to adjust the shimming on try and gain some more pressure over OEM. It's underneath the large hex nut/fitting that the high pressure line screws into.

I did that and shmmed it out too far and all the seals in my box exploded with a bang when I turned the wheel the first time.

Ross and I are gonna show up at around 11.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sounds like that hose was collapsing, good call. Trash your Jeep for me tomorrow, kthx.

steering blows at idle and when it warms up it gets spotty and whines just like at Nac fest.

Oh well, it isn't any worse than wheeling at nac-fest. and this time my steering box is held on by more bolts.
