THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You guys ever listened to the Jezabels? I just saw them on Tuesday, they were pretty great live.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you went to that? how did it feel being the oldest guy there? :roflmao: alkaline trio is great live, NFG too. that sucks about circa though, was anthony green playing with them? i know he was just on tour w saosin and the videos i saw of that were awesome.

i'm seeing fall out boy/paramore/new politics tomorrow (eh), BUT will be seeing everclear/soul asylum/eve6/spacehog on sunday. AND sugar ray/blues traveler/smash mouth/uncle kracker next month.

Anthony Green is back with Saosin?!? Translating the Name by Saosin is incredible.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anthony Green is back playing with Saosin? That's epic...i need to find out if they'll be doing a show nearby.

Paramore is pretty sweet in concert. Saw them from 6 feet away a few summers ago. Hayley Williams has some ****ing chops.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Saosin w/Anthony Green was at Skate & Surf too, but not on the day I was there. Pretty sure that was a one-time deal. And yeah he was with Circa Survive as well. Might've just been the sound, I dunno...it's real easy for that to kill a good performance.

she is seriously talented. too bad the newest album is garbage. i've never seen them, i hope they play some older stuff. i dont think anyone else is an original member of the band besides her.

.

The bass player is original also.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it got more disappointing as the album moved forward, i'll admit i was too quick to recommend that one. and animals as leaders are awesome.

if you wanna check some more stuff out, try

cloud nothings (garage-ish indie alt rock)
the menzingers (same as cloud nothings but more upbeat and modern sounding)
the bare minimum (real garage punk stuff, some ok songs, some good ones)
balance and composure (more modern style alt rock.. post rock?)
polar bear club (just listen to them. the newest album w a different singer is more, uh, "fun?")

also, the new tokyo police club album is good if youre into that stuff. i'll bring it, i have to restring it.

oh and why not... more pop-punk stuff..

the newest fireworks and the wonder years albums are off the chain. also try the front bottoms and the swellers. <---- thats the kind of vibe ive been into lately. more windows-down summer stuff.

Tokyo police club played in Boston and I had tickets but I'm retarded because it was the same day as Colin's boner party.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

turned into a good day now that i'm rocking out to new/old AG Saosin. Thanks!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Got nothing to do right now, trying to hang out till 1 to get lunch so i don't have to buy or make anything(yup I'm that cheap)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh and

Return to Saosin (2014)
It was announced on February 20, 2014 that Anthony Green would be reuniting with his former Band Saosin for the Skate and Surf festival on May 17, 2014. Currently there are no plans to record or tour, besides performing a few random shows

oh well. his solo stuff is really good too.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For more mainstream stuff, a guy at work gave me a copy of the newest Alterbridge album, which was surprisingly pretty good. Great guitar work but I get tired of Miles Kennedy pretty quickly.

New Black Stone Cherry is also good garage background tunes.
