Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My jeeps just suck real bad, there is no pumping involved :gee:

Stefan, all 91+ are open cooling system, not sure anyone answered that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah he could use all the vacuum that Diesel engine makes...

I was giving Stefan the benefit of doubt that he knows very little about diesels. Except flipping tow mirrors up and pushing the black.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A tech from Shawmut is on the way with an aux power pack to override and fold up the crane. Minimum $4-5k bill, this is gunna suck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone from the area knows that place is super sketchy along with the place just down the street.

Also, reason like #14 why I try to fill up only at "truck stops".

Reason #13 for Bill, gloryholes

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I swear if idiots keep listing shit on the trading post without saying anything about it I'm gonna just start deleting them... "this plow came off my jeep, for sale" for like the eighth time this week from the same retard... yeah what ****ing kind of a jeep dude

It's hilarious in a really depressing kind of way, I've told this one person to say what the hell it came off like 2-3 times and they still have no idea why and can't remember to do so.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Any of you SE Mass guys have a preferred place to bring scrap metal? Have a bunch of copper and some aluminum to get rid of. I was planning to take it to Allied Recycling in Walpole, unless one of you bros knows of a better spot.

my part timer uses http://www.ecorecyclingsystemsinc.com/ in Brockton...says they offered more than other places in the area. who knows if it's true.

Its a waste of time even explaining things to those kinds of people. They simply do not understand basic etiquette or know how to make a successful sale.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The only thing more depressing than thinking about how dumb the average person in this country is... is realizing that half the country IS DUMBER THAN THAT.

And all of them are posting "tranny for sale $100" "my shop is in athol mass" on the trading post.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Really want to run a stack through the roof of the jeep, but don't have the space

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

After a shitty day of the crane breaking and pulling the hydraulic pump on the job site in the sand, I finally got home to good news of my nv4500 rebuild stuff waiting. Open the box and they sent me a 2WD mainshaft instead of a 4WD version. FML!!! I can't win today!!!

needs a burrito heater cage attached to the side of it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I know incandescent light bulbs are on their way to becoming extinct, but I think there's definitely a conspiracy among manufacturers to drive people away from them by making them shittier.

I have a few lamps I moved from my old house that have had the same bulbs in them for years, and they're still going fine after the move. A few new lamps & fixtures got new bulbs when I installed them and I swear I've replaced bulbs in all of them at least once so far in the last 6 months. Yesterday two in a pair of lamps in my living room blew an hour apart from each other (they went into service at the same time).

So I'm admitting defeat. Once a steadfast supporter of the incandescent bulb, I finally bought two hybrid CFL's and an LED to replace the 3 bulbs in my living room. The color temperature is nice, in theory I shouldn't have to replace them for a very long time, and they should save some money and return the investment in a reasonable span.

Up next, maybe I'll start looking at 4G phones. My Droid 2 seems to be facing a similar move towards forced obsolescence after the last Words With Friends update.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

4G/LTE is way old at this point... Haha, Jesus I can't believe you are still on a 3G phone. I generally stop trying to look things up once I loose wifi or LTE service.

I was a big supporter of the incandescent as well. I stock piled them when is was first announced that 100W were going to be phased out (couple years ago now). Now that we built the house I have 4 total incandescents in the house. 3 in the garage attic (so maybe twice a year turn on) and one in the dinning room in a $1.10 keyless porcelain that never gets turned either. Everything else is LED or fluorescent.
The LEDs take a bit of getting used to, especially if you put them on a dimmer, simply because of the slight delay when turning them on. I do GREATLY prefer them to fluorescent because I like the instant full brighteness of the LED rather than having to wait for the fluorescent to warm up, plus they draw less current.
