THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That would kick ass. It's either that or get them at the junkyard, which I'm not looking forward to.
Whenever you wanna come over, give me at least an hour's heads up.

I said that the first time I used the wipers on my truck. Still haven't replaced them yet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The ford OEM wipers on my fiesta lasted 2.5 years. I think their like 35 each but I think that's worth it.

Sam, the 4" HID's that Olympus sells . . . are those from the same supplier that Ruffstuff used? They look identical in the pictures on the Olympus site. I'd like to get a third light to match the pair I have and it looks like Ruffstuff is no longer carrying them.

We make them. But its quite possibly they use the same housing and are quite similar.

I'll see what I can find out.

Yeah pictures are way better for people who can't read, like yourself.

Joke's on you, Dave's computer reads words to him.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was thinking about building a back rack for my bromobile and putting a light bar on top. Mad bro points.
All the cool bro rigs do two stacked light bars on the roof now. With a third inset into the grill.

All the 80's roll bar bro's have already bro'd their truck out with them. We have some new round long throw lights in the works. Using a single 25 watt LED chip. going to run those on my roof I think, Old school look with new school awesomeness.

Cool, any actual pictures of them would be good too.

As soon as I get some I'll let you know. I have about no experience with those. We barely sell any of the HID lights with so many LED options. Nobody has ever actually asked me anything about them lol.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Would probably do 35-spline 4340.

Stan @ Branik will be the first one to tell you that the Spidertrax ultimate bearings are wayyy better than any of the modified F450 ones people are selling (including Branik). Leaning towards RCV at the middle and 806 on the outside right now.

Current dilemma is wondering if the C-clip that holds the passenger stub into the diff is the same as on a regular Dana 35 rear axle. Because I'll still need to use that with the RCV and if it's not the same then the aftermarket lockers are going to be difficult to accomodate...

Sounds expensive.
Is RCV making 300M stuff in D44 now? I know when I got my D60 shafts that was the only thing they were doing in 300M.

I like the idea of going to one vendor for everything.

What is difference between the spidertrax and modified F450 bearings?

There's only so much you can cobble together in the garage!

Not sure what they make them out of, but I'm not really worried about it, at least for the center joint.

The axle drive splines are bored right into the wheel flange itself so rather than have a drive slug, they shorten and simplify the whole package. That lets them use different (and serviceable) bearings inside with a different sealing design, they have left/right threaded spindle nuts depending on which side of the truck it goes on...

Functionally the difference results in a life span of seasons vs. races. Just a much better, more carefully crafted part overall.

I think I'm still leaning towards the 806x option though, mostly because a D44-sized CV ball will look dumb floating in a D50/SuperDuty 60 size spot. :dunce:
