Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

he's isn't telling you to go back to a d30. What he and everyone else is trying to tell you is that you're going nuts trying to upgrade everything and you haven't wheeled much yet.

Also the 8.25 is plenty strong for you're intention I don't see the need to weld it since you have a lunch box locker....just buy the bearing and R&P

I guess. From what I have read billy has had some experience and liked it. And it would still be cheaper to do that rear. I get that this is wheeling and isn't cheap but I don't know if I want to spend that kids cash on something I may junk down the road.

I am planning on making nac fest, oer, and roctoberfest plus 6 or 7 weekend trips

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think the major problem here is that you don't make up your mind on anything and yap constantly without having any idea what you're talking about and it's driving us insane.

On that note, I finally found one of the driveshafts I've been looking for for the 5 speed swap I have planned for the XJ. Now I just need the other, which is even rarer in the junkyard... it is looking like I am going to run out of patience and simply retube one of the ones I already have. Only a few more parts to collect before I'm ready to slap that stupid thing together.

Ken your right. I'm sorry guys. Also it's just pissing me off with that axle situation.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

we use a similar design for our boat seats so we can remove them in the winter so they do not crack. But I never thought about using them in the garage for shelves...that's an awesome idea.

Dude seriously I have 4.56s in my front 44. With chromos, warn premiums and a Detroit. Why go back to a 30? Also why gear a 8.25 if I can swap in a rear axle with 4.56s that is stronger. and weld it bam I have what I want.

Because I ran a 29 spline 8.25 with 4.88's on 38" creepies. Stock shafts at that. Put a 29 spline arb with alloys and redrill the rotors. You'll be fine with good clearance. The 44 has a slightly bigger ring and one more spline. But smaller tubes. Get over it and wheel your jeep.

sooooooo on a brighter note, I picked up that waggy 44 with the mini truss and all the fun things that came with it today. looks like ill finally be starting to join the over-built under-wheeled bang wagon. cant wait to get shit for DDing 37's :eyes:
