Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Someone blew up the toilet in the men's locker room today, us cooks had a long conversation discussing how one can make such a mess, apparently upper management is not to pleased about the convo.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I went back to a jeep like I had in highschool. more practical, easier/ cheaper fixes, and just as much fun as bigger shittier jeeps

AMEN BROTHA, PREACH THE TRUTH!

Plus you get aaaaalllll the high school pussy down at the mud pits when you can buy them beer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Can you use the work car for stuff besides work?

A lot of commercial insurance policies won't cover accidents etc if it's being used outside of the scope of the job...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was planning on subframe connectors regardless, stock wheel wells and SS rims with plain jane radial car tires. It was mono leafs out back, at a minimum its getting new multi leafs and like caltracs or some sort of traction bar. I'm aiming for 450ish HP on motor, might add a little spray or forced induction. Its going for more sleeper pro touring, stock exterior/interior looks with under the hood being the only give away. I'll probably buy a custom front subframe too with coil covers/ rack and pinion stuff. I gotta price out rear suspension to decide if maybe I should just 4 link the rear.

Good plan, I am still running the old style slapper traction bars, but want to change them for caltracs. Those custom front subframes are really nice, and if mine was in bad shape I probably would have gone that direction. I used all Hotchkiss suspension, which lowered the car almost 2". It rides really nice now, and handles really well when I steer with the gas pedal. When your ready to do wheels and tires, do your research on what you can fit and backspacing needed. I worked with Newstalgia Wheels, and got custom backspace 17" American Racing wheels. I fit 275 40 17's on the rear. They have SS rims in 17's, they look great on pro touring builds.

My subframe is in decent shape, I actually just pulled it apart last night. One body mount is bent, I've rebuilt all the suspension and brakes on it. Most of the company's sell them for like $5k for the basic ones, I found a guy out of Indiana that builds them and sells them unpainted with like 90-95% of the work done for $2200. Has all coil overs and all that fancy stuff, gotta make my own engine mounts (which I'm doing anyways to fit the LS1/T56), and some work to the body mounts. He has some options the he can swap for no charge, and a cheap upgrade to even bigger Wilwood stuff.
