Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just spent 45 minutes outside trying to figure out why i have no power windows except my driver's. had to put the pass front one up bc its frekkin kold. gave up and jumped the wires to the motor to put it up.

i cant feel my toes. also, the window moved FAST jumping the wires and its slow as hell when i used the switch. anyway idk what the problem is i left my interior in pieces.

Of the XJ?
10 bucks says lock out switch. Just jump that. Every Chrysler product from that era does it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yep... well it depends on if it's that only the drivers switch panel works (but all the motors work) or if only the drivers window works, period.

You owe me ten bucks

Only the driver window works. Passenger power lock switch works. None of the other window switches are lit.

Maybe. Did you try it?

That's exactly what happens when the switch fails or is in "protect the kids" mode.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

To those that have made lots of parts for your various vehicles, if you had access to and were proficient with 3D modelling (solidworks, pro e, etc) would you have used it? By lots of parts I mean crossmembers, bumpers, winch mounts, cages, etc.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yea, the driver switch doesn't power any window except the driver.

However the child safety switch kills power to other windows making the only control via the driver's side. Or are you saying that even the driver can't control them?

Probably not for one off stuff. To much time and hand sketches work just as good.
If I was going into production then yeah.

ehhhh, shit like that, probably not.

Some of the stuff I have in mind that I will never do? yes, definitely.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I MIGHT do it to design a buggy chassis, but for jeep parts no thanks. Unless, like Bill said, I was going into production or something.

Easier to just cardboard it out and then cut it out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

used bendtech pro for the halo and roof bars on my jeep, it helps but somtimes what looks good on the program dosnt come out as good after you get things in place.
