Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why is there so much hate for the new Cherokee? Personally, I don't like it but there's a reason they have a few different models.

Oh you mean Jeep's business model isn't catered toward 18 year old kids who want to smash up a $1000 vehicle in the woods? Strange, I thought that was where they would make the most money.

I love the kids who compare the flex of a built one ton XJ on 37s to a stock 2014 cherokee.

What's funny is I guarantee you stock for stock the most capable 2014 Cherokee would run circles around the most capable stock XJ ever offered offroad.

That's a bold statement. Considering what I did with red jeep, I don't know if I'd agree with you.

Oh you mean that lifted XJ with larger tires, upgraded suspension and steering and non factory axles? That is definitely the best example of what a stock XJ can do.

This is a competition I would gladly enter in my red shitbox. Hell, it's got 25" tires on it right now.

If I puncture my gas tank do I win!?

Honestly I think I'd pick up a modern Forester or Outback before I'd go for a 2014 Cherokee.

The only problem is finding someone who is willing to buy a brand new vehicle and beat the snot out of it lol.

Better break over angle
Better departure angle
Larger tires
More ground clearance
Modern traction control
Better crawl ratio
More suspension travel

Note. I did not mention reliability or strength. The XJ wins right there as far as I'm concerned until proven otherwise.

<-- note time

Come by if you're bored. :D

Finally met my neighbor btw. The kid who has a garage in the 'chicken coop' in the backyard. Saturday I finished workin in mine around 1:30 AM and went inside to get another beer, saw that his lights were still on and heard a guitar coming from there. So I walked over, he and his buddies were just hanging out. So we got to bullshitting and his one friend asked what I do...long story short I tried to explain it and he goes "oh, like King of the Hammers stuff"?

Made my description a lot shorter after that, especially after we hung out in my garage for a bit. My neighbors love me now. :D

Plus they all play guitar & drums and I brought mine over and we jammed until 6 AM. FML.

Oh, and I bought another guitar today, from dirt bike chick's friend who's moving to Cali in a few weeks. Dean acoustic/electric for $100 so I don't hafta bring my Gibson everywhere, and she needed the cash for moving and xmas shopping. I'm pretty happy with it and my Gibson is officially retired to studio life. :)

I need to come by one of these nights and see the new project.

Imagine how hard you would cry if your zj was actually a brand new jeep and you scratched one of the floor mats or something.
