THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The chromo links had issues cracking.

WOD doesn't taper the ends of the link towards the joint which creates a weak spot.

I plan on running 2.25 OD in the rear of my mj

Id say the rear of yours would surely be taking more of a pounding than a front application. Looks like about $125 per link. won't have to buy tube inserts either so theres $20 per link back right there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

where did you cool guys get your 2 3/8" with big dookin' wall thickness dom tubing from?

My big dumb truck needs some lca's that won't banana.

I'm a little concerned about 1.75 x .120 single upper you guys use too. So tell me to shutup and run it anyway.

3 link with 1.25" shank heims or cartridge joints and a fullsize truck on tons and big tires.
I wouldn't worry about the upper since you can weld well and they don't get bashed into rocks. Pure tension/compression forces.

Lowers, that's another thing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have no worries about the 2.25" aluminum links in the rear of mine.

I don't think 2" leaves enough material around the threads once you hog it out for a 1.25" shank. The 2.25" with the diameter carried all the way out instead of tapering like Colin mentioned seems a lot better to me.

I'm not entirely sold on the advantages of 4130 at this point.
