First.

No P/S at low speeds, but seems to work fine once I give it some gas- low fluid or bad pump? Couldn't tell what the fluid level was last night and haven't headed outside to check yet though. Fluid may have gotten hot last night, had to beat on it some to get it into a parking spot since I have no four dub dee.

Low speed or low rpm? What if you put it in park, rev it to 2500, and turn? Leaks anywhere? Does it sound whiny? Check leaks, fluid level, then if still no good I would suspect the pump.

Sorry, low engine speeds I have no steering, when the RPM's are up, it works fine. The steering box has been wet at the back since I've owned the Jeep, but I didn't see any leaks last night or fluid pouring on the ground. Pump sounds whiny.

Have you replaced the pump and/or lines recently?

Could have air in the system.
