Had my final inspection for natural gas today "sometime between 8 and 2", so coupled with the fact that I have to go down to South NJ for a distributor training this afternoon, I elected to work from home this morning. First time I've ever done this in official capacity, and first time I've really been able to because I finally got all the VPN and mobile access stuff set up after a large network migration we did a month or two ago.
Working from home kicks ass. My desk phone automatically routes to my work cell phone, via VPN my Outlook and everything else connects like normal (albeit a little slower), and I can sit in my recliner in sweats and a shitty t-shirt listening to metal while putting my presentation together for this afternoon.
Plumbing/gas inspector came at 9:00 so I don't even have to worry about that anymore, he was impressed with how much forethought I put into everything. Cool guy and listening to some horror stories from him makes me realize how hack some house construction really is. :laugh:

Must've got lucky on this one, checked the fluid and it was right below the add line on the dipstick. Pump made no noise when I pulled out of the spot I was in and didn't act up the whole way to work. I'm guessing the fluid was low last night and it got hot while I was trying to park. Going to add some fluid later and call it good (I hope) or buy another ZJ.

90% of my team is gone starting today.
These next few days are going to be so boring.
After this Friday I have two full weeks off of work. I don't go back until Jan 6th.
Closing on the house on the 23rd, then Xmas stuff, then starting cleaning/moving stuff right after that.

Awesome! I'm off after Fri for 10 days. My managers are now making me change the headlight on my coworkers car on the clock, and the frt bumper does have to come off. Yay me

I am very particular about what brakleen I buy specifically because I know it won't poison me (very badly) if I do get impatient and use it for cleaning/weld prep.
I am probably working on my house for new years. I won't be going to work at all in between christmas and new years, used up the remainder of my vacation time on that.
