When you have had a diesel for 6 years I would hope you know what glow plugs are.
And when you say it will fire up no problems, it should.

If you like that, check out Factory 5's "818" kit. Yeah, its 10k plus you supply a wrecked WRX for the drivetrain, but you end up with a mid-engine, sub-2000 lb. roadster with plenty of upgrade potential in the power department...looks good, too.

A good friend of mine from high school is actually considering building up an 818. He and I have already built factory 5's hot rod and it was stupid fun to build and drive, and being my first car project its pretty much what got me into wrenching on cars. Have pictures and details of the whole build if anyones interested.
Hopefully he follows through on the 818 and a build thread

Dundy has the version of that that has extendable legs. I wouldn't get one without extendable legs. Stability, extra reach is nice. Other than that - we have beat the shit out of it repeatedly. He could tell you exactly when he bought it but by my guess it's 6 years old and not always stored indoors.
