I dont even care if that doesn't even remotely come close to filling you criteria

Beast wars + Jackie Chan + Boobs = 7 stars

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What if Jackie Chan had a huge rack? That would make every movie he's been in that much better.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Here's what's been keeping me busy lately...

Got this 3x10 stainless table for free, just had to go get it:

Then did this:

My 'clean room' workbench:

Benchtop down (3/4" Melamine/MDF) and trimmed out, nothing fastened yet though, still need to plane the joints on the melamine:

Overall as it is right now...should start moving tools & stuff in today. :)

sick!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh, I can post pictures of my bench too!

Just finished this past weekend, 17'3" long, hardwood dimensional 2x10s (the ones that actually measure 2"x10" not 1.5"x9.25"), 4"x6" legs, 3/4" birch ply top, 1" hickory hardwood edge (ripped from leftover flooring), yada, yada and my CL score $45, American made, 6" Wilton bullet vise.

What's the reasoning for 2x10s over the 1.5 or whatever? Is one stronger than the other or something? I guess I'm not sure why the 1.5x9.25" or whatever isn't good?

That vise looks bitchin. I need to get a new one actually. Shattered our old craftsman one trying to push in joints in my profenders earlier this year.

Bench looks sweet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i retired my old work bench a coupke weeks ago, i know bill/travis/colin/kieth and ken have seen it, it was pretty dope

Only because they were free from that Austrian pallet I had. Hard to not use free 20' long straight lumber. Nothing wrong with modern regular 2x10s. Remember it on the trailer when you came over that time? Otherwise I probably would have just used 2x8s from the lumberyard.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i made mine out of 2x4s and an old solid core door :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone know that formula for chopping up coil springs and how it affects the spring rate?

would it be stupid for me to waste my time on making coil buckets for my rig only to swap them out for coilovers later on? Less $$$ is my motivation.

found a pair of new 9" xj lift coils 180 lb/in spring rate for cheap. I know I want a bit stiffer for my truck. I can change ride height with my upper coil mount, might be captured at both ends, not sure at this time, just thinking out loud.

No but not sure what's wrong with 180 lb/in spring rate depending on how much travel you want and how much travel they have before blocking, as well as what your corner weights are.

Also, depending on if you plan on doing go-fast/valving shocks, etc. or if you just plan on wheeling the thing.

Copy-Paste master:

11,250,000 X wire diameter to the 4th power
divided by 8x the active number of turns X the mean diameter cubed.

Active turns are the number of turns of the spring that do not touch anything. Any part of the coil which makes contact with anything becomes inactive, that is it no longer functions as part of the spring.

The mean diameter is the inside coil diameter plus one wire thickness. Or the outside coil diameter less one wire thickness. This is in INCHES
