THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Agreed.

Also, not to crap on Jeff too much since Crown is awesome, but I've had zero luck with almost anything they themselves make.

is that what ya meant? :)

There was an improvement with the new pump and I doubt it was defective- temps were pushing 225+ on the highway without the A/C on before I did that, so I saw an improvement of 15 degrees or so. Guessing it'll only do so much if it's pushing coolant through a junk radiator.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ZJ did not want to start this AM for the second day in a row. Cranking times have been extended lately when it's been off for several hours or more, might be time for a fuel pump.

I usually just wait until they die on the highway.

So what you're saying is that your signature is not presently accurate?

I mean, I assume his at least starts and runs without a complaint, even if the suspension explodes every time it gets driven.

It got me to work today, so it's still current.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Try the poor man's prime (key on, key off, key on, key off, blah blah blah) it may help. I have to do that like 4-5 times on my red POS and it's getting worse.

I have a spare fuel tank with a pump assembly for it from my pile of spare parts I had for my old XJ, just don't feel like dealing with it till I have the MJ slapped together and inspected again.

That's what I've been doing, took at least half a dozen tries to get it started today. I figure I'm just prolonging the inevitable by doing that and I already ordered a pump from Jeff.

there water pumps are great, lots of us running them, not sure on the radiators though but they cant be any worse then the parts stores

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So in thinking of stuff I need to buy for future house purchases. One of these things is a weedwhacker.

I have had zero luck with these in the past, specifically with the bump heads to feed the string out. Those things suck.

Anyone have any suggestions for a trimmer that works worth a damn?

j10 has a crown radiator. seems solid, no leaks, my motor moved so much my cooling fan stabbed it, no issues.

Buy a stihl and be done with it. Never had any problems with mine

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I bought a truck, but it's no tow rig. More of a oversized and pretty DD. 2003 Chevy 1500 with the 4.8. I have too much stuff going on to even consider keeping the jeep and going wheeling that I won't get into on here. I plan on going to rocktober fest with you guys.
You better make RocktoberFest. (And wheel the Jeep)
As long as you still come out with us and don't disappear.

Bill, I don't have a backup plan. I'll just bolt them in as-is again
Works for me. I am so pumped.

Echo or Stihl.
This one is lightweight and works good. Has enough power to do thick hay feild with little fuss. http://www.echo-usa.com/Products/Trimmers/GT-225
The have another model with an easy pull starter which I have on my Stihl liming saw. That is neat 'cause you can start it with one hand on a ladder in half a pull not really needed on a weed wacker though.
They'll start every time (mine do) if you run good mix. The <$.50 per single bottle stuff isn't any good. Get the stuff that Stihl and Echo sell as their "premium" mix for like $9 / 6 pack, I belive it is a silver bottle. Mix that with at least mid grade fuel and they just run and run.
The only time I ever had an issue was when mine gummed up borrowing fuel my buddy had with the dollar store mix and low grade fuel.

Edit: Here is the other one. Mine is before the low emissions model, but essentially the same thing. I like the straight shaft for bankings and when I do the edge of the water (standing in it) makes it easier. Otherwise the curved it good.

If I still have the jeep and can borrow a trailer id wheel it. But I really could use the money and it doesn't make sense for me to keep it anymore.

I will be more than happy to wheel yours though.
