THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Not for $18k. E30 M3's that are nice and still original are approaching $30k pretty easily. A S50/S52/S54 swapped E30 with a lot of nice stuff bolted to it is in that $18k range. Plus that E36 only has 29k on it with suspension and wheels done.
Since when did you know anything about BMWs? :laugh2:

Yeah, E30 M3s are getting ridiculous. A friend of a friend just bought a silver one out of southeastern CT for like 25k... all original.

Stefan, I have your 8.8. It's in pretty damn good shape, comes with a 1330 flange adapter (I can get a 1310 one pretty easy if you don't want to run a 1330 1310 adapter joint) and the discs are in reasonably good shape, they aren't rusted over because the donor was a recent delivery. Came out of a 96 for parts reference, 4.10 LSD, it's got some scale on it but the backing plates are still intact and even unbent to give you an idea of how not-rusty this is for an 8.8. It was missing the cover, if you want a stock tinfoil cover I'm sure I can find you one but I'd really suggest a ruffstuff cover anyhow. I didn't see any dirt or gunk in the diff, pretty sure someone pulled the cover to check ratio then didn't have time to get the axle before I did. Sucks to be them.

Been researching on the interwebs. Might be the first decent car I buy. I like the 330I ZHP (4 doors) a lot, but at that point, it may be worth it to pony up and go for the E46 M3. Haven't driven anything BMW besides Dan's old E30 325e so who knows.

$25k is reasonable if everything is in good shape. There was some teacher at my HS that DD'd an E30 M3. I remember wanting that car bad before I knew a thing about them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just had no idea you even cared about them. My buddy Jeremy DDs an M42 (4cyl) brilliantrot 91 E30 with a 5 speed and LS diff in the summer. I refuse to get a car like that because I know I will end up in a coffin or a jail cell.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A cable is easier to hook up. Depending on the do now with DBW, you also need the body harness that runs between the pedal and engine. Some are more standalone then others, id rather not even deal with it if I can. I want a LS1 intake and most can be had with a cable throttle anyways.
Really? Seems to me your limited on routing it vs the wires can go anywhere. IDK.

Anyway, some observations on clothes shopping (I don't go usually, Angel buys all my stuff) from last night:
-Finding a couple of the same sized stuff is hard.
-Lots of young moms with fat kids running around. I mean seriously how the heck does a kid that isn't even 3' high yet have a belly? Not just one or two, dozens of them.
-One store will have one Large shirt making you check 3 more to get another one that matches.
-Clerks are dumber than rocks and can't add $39.99 to $39.99, so they'll "discount it" to $79.98. Yeah, you read that right.
-Lots of fat little kids. Really that bugs me, get off the couch and go outside to play.
-"Free WiFi" but you must signup for a store CC. Wait, NO!
-Loud, annoying, punk or emo music over speakers at stores I thought were not like that (Macy's, JCPenny, Sears, etc).
-I am really glad I don't go clothes shopping more often.

Not clothes shopping.

I got to hardware stores, lumber yards, fake lumber yards (HomeDepot, Lowes), and the occasional food or bar. Besides that I don't do much shopping.

So what you're saying is that you've got no excuse as to why you haven't updated your GJ thread about your shop? :gee:

Part of the problem is that the number of fat cells a baby ends up with is dependent on how fat the mother is during pregnancy. Literally, fat mothers set the kids up to be fat in the future when those fat cells fill up.

It's not genetic, but it sure is inherited. And we are ****ed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what bothers me is the family of 6 and every child has an iPad they are playing with during dinner. the family doesn't have any conversation, the parents just sit there while the kids play on their iPads.

Been busy working on it. I gave up on that thread.

Yeah. Lazy.
I mean, I know some people have an issue. That's ok. But I think the people that have issues is a very small percentage vs the people that are just lazy and eat junk for food. Disclaimer: No facts to back that up.
Seriously, you are a caveman
Nah, I like my mattress on the bed thanks.

Exactly!
Or shove it in the kids face at the market, after school, while on the phone whatever to make them be quiet.
They are so overstimulated with those things that "normal" stuff like going outside and seeing wildlife if boring unless is it drama-ed-up on TV.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill, got any recommendations for garage floor epoxy?

I'm gonna have a bit over 2.5 car space to do, plus I'll probably do the basement with any leftover.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
