THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Somebody make sure to film Ken next time he does this. You never know, you could always capture him slipping. Nothing is funnier then watching people and breaker bars go flying.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I haven't... I figured I'd try HF next since they're cheaper, especially for a 3/4". I've got a couple 3/4 drive sockets (d60 pinion nut/XJ pitman arm nut are 1 5/16", 5 ton lug nuts are 1 1/2") at this point so I figured I should probably just nut up and get the right tools for once.

90XJay has a 25" HF breaker bar - we tried using it to take a rusty 8.25 pinion nut off once. 4 foot pipe only resulted in it deflecting 30 degrees but springing right back. 4 foot pipe, duct taping the socket to the yoke, bracing the pipe on the ground and doing FWD burnouts in Bradley's driveway did absolutely nothing to the nut or the breaker bar.

I wasn't being nice to it when it was flexing, either - I was really hauling on the pipe.

I'd step up to the 3/4" drive socket as well then. What about bringing mapp gas instead?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Also, I generally break pinion nuts loose by putting a pipe wrench on the yoke, bracing it against the ground, putting the breaker bar on the nut, and then jumping on it as hard as I can. Somehow I haven't broken one this way yet.

(I have sent the socket and breaker bar flying however)

Torches are verboten in the junkyards I go to, else I'd bring one. I'm on good enough terms with them to get good prices, I don't want to jeopardize that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm pretty sure it does both.

I am going back to the junkyard tomorrow because an explorer crapped all over me today. And I never even got as far as pulling any of the other shit I wanted. Just spent an hour sweating my sack off while lifting an explorer up with a high lift, then having the high lift tip over, again and again. I was madder than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Speaking of which, anyone want a fullfloat D60-1SU with discs? There's one there right now, no idea what ratio, probably 3.55 or 4.10, I'm way too lazy to pull it alone and don't care enough to try and flip it for money but if someone wants it, show up and help me pull it and it's yours.

How much would it be?

Come help me pull it and we can get it out of there for $137 plus $5 for a wheelbarrow for the tools.

(when I say "help me pull it" I'm not talking about the axle)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anybody know the part #s for new flywheel bolts for the ax-15? Can't really find much in the way of aftermarket on them at all

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

J317 0524, you need 6 not 1, they are stupid expensive.

thanks Ken. Yea.. I haven't been able to find anything in the aftermarket for them or really much info aside from don't reuse the old ones.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I never got a solid answer for what year your engine came from, or what range works, either that or I forgot. Tell me and I am ****ing pulling one because I want to learn how to strip one down anyways.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Can I bend you over too?

told him if he hasnt started it yet i want it and all my money back along with what i spent with ups.

should I ask for more because he ****ed up half my wheeling season?

i honestly dont know what will work 100%

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh yeah. I got a Harbor Freight 3/4" quick release breaker bar and a 3/4 to 1/2 drive adapter because I am really getting tired of breaking 1/2" breaker bars.

Bets on what will break first? I think it'll be the 3/4 to 1/2 drive adapter.

Definitely adapter. I busted a Craftsman 3/4" breaker bar a while back, but it took a loooong pipe and it was pretty old and abused already. Like DB Dave said, you'd probably be fine with a Craftsman 1/2" if the HF one sucks too.

Can I bend you over too?

He's probably pretty loose after the ****ing this guy's been giving him.

I got the front end of the ZJ back together tonight and then pulled the rear tire off that's been leaking to take into work and figure out what's wrong. Aside from that all I need to do for this weekend is weld up that rear shock mount and slap the new 5150 in. LET'S WHEEL BITCHES!
