Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

why doesnt gcc in pirate know whats going on?

I'm not sure how little ktmracer on pirate will fare against a well known business owner on pirate. I'm gonna give him a chance to make it right. I plan on plastering an honest review everywhere when all is said and done.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I found the original listing on here, came out of an 03 apparently.

I'll add it to the list of things to try and get tomorrow. Don't think there will be any Escalades/Silverados with the right options there but it is worth a try.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Come help me pull it and we can get it out of there for $137 plus $5 for a wheelbarrow for the tools.

(when I say "help me pull it" I'm not talking about the axle)

If it's a 4.10 axle with discs, what the hell I'll do it. Let's get greasy(not with automotive oil).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Not with all the other junk in that hipster douchebag trunk.

BRO do I know you!?

I seriously considered going to your house to snapchat myself taking a piss on your doorstep. I didn't want to risk finding out that you gave me the wrong address and did something productive with my life, just kidding.

It's got discs. I will check ratio tomorrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Third, and off to the junkyard again... tomorrow's my last day of not having a fulltime job. Not sure what I'm gonna do, probably actually weld on my jeep and try to scam it a sticker so I can drive it to work instead of taking the red crapcan.

Oh yeah. Everyone with an oxy/ace torch set - anyone got a use for a pair of Oxweld welding/brazing tips? They came with my O/A torch set but don't fit any of the torch handles I have, so I'd like to trade them for something that does or other random stuff. I have an Oxweld 2A and an Oxweld 9, the 2A has a clogged tip but I'm gonna try and clear it out later. Both come with mixer bases, which could use new O-rings.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just need to weld up a spare tire mount, a few reservoir tabs, and put the new shock joints in when those get here, probably Wednesday night. Another "shipping error" since they were supposed to be here last week. I swear to god Profender sucks ass as far as customer service. The shocks seem pretty good, but I'll hold any judgement until after this race.

Also, I swapped from MAP/TPS accel enrichment to just TPS accel enrichment and its WAY easier to tune the enrichment now. I did this at the advice of one of the guys I bought all of my shit from at DIYAutotune. Much more responsive then before. Still have to dial that in though.

Should be all ready to go by Thursday night. Cant wait to ruin this thing again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

**** me, I want that 5.3 on neow. Its got all the ls1 stuff is want too. If it was somewhere in the lower 1k range, I don't think I'd even hesitate. I'd probably buy it then I wouldn't be able to decide which vehicle to put it in, the jeep or the nova.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you dumb. E36s suck. for that much you can have a nice widebody E30.

Not for $18k. E30 M3's that are nice and still original are approaching $30k pretty easily. A S50/S52/S54 swapped E30 with a lot of nice stuff bolted to it is in that $18k range. Plus that E36 only has 29k on it with suspension and wheels done.

Then again, for the $18k that would cost, I'd almost rather LSx swap an SN95 Mustang like I've been threatening Pat with just to make him mad as ****.

told him if he hasnt started it yet i want it and all my money back along with what i spent with ups.

should I ask for more because he ****ed up half my wheeling season?

I'd expect shipping to be covered both ways regardless of outcome and for him to work with you on the price at this point. There's no way you're going to get him to give you extra money though; it'll set the wrong precedent for whenever a job runs behind in the future. The dude will run himself out of business.

I gave you the right address. You should've done it, pussy. I would've returned the favor.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got a 6.0 just to be cool.

costs just as much to swap it in. initial price is just usually higher and you get less em pee gees

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I still don't understand why you would go with a 5.3 over a 6.0 for your XJ.

Its all about whatever I find and whatever is a better deal. Plus, Id rather keep a cable throttle body for ease of swap and 6.0's are all DBW. An all aluminum 5.3 or LS1 would be my first choice but the prices are higher on them.

I don't see what's so complicated with dbw. its just a gas pedal and a couple wires.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A cable is easier to hook up. Depending on the do now with DBW, you also need the body harness that runs between the pedal and engine. Some are more standalone then others, id rather not even deal with it if I can. I want a LS1 intake and most can be had with a cable throttle anyways.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

all of that takes like ten minutes to set up and comes with the harness if the guy who pulled it isnt a retard.

takes time to get a new throttle cable and hook that up too.
