THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't regret buying mine at all. Loved the ranger before too.

I'd really like a 4wd 4dr tacoma but not sure I want to pony up that much dough

The price shoots up five grand for my exact truck except with an extended cab. I'm fine with a regular cab for that much money

I'm planning on trading it in for a tundra in the next year or two

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My uncle just had the frame replaced on his '00 4.7 V8 2UZFE extended cab Tundra courtesy of the recall.

Some shop quoted him 2600 to buy the wrong parts to do part of the exhaust, I found all the parts to do the whole exhaust from the manifolds back for 1400. So if you get a used one, let me know if you need exhaust part numbers, I already have em all in an excel spreadsheet and I'll be installing it within a weekend or two.

I know, it's ridiculous. Really I'd rather have a car, I'd just like to have a truck to be able to put my XR in the back, for when I'm moving, etc. I hate the idea of borrowing a truck if I buy a new TV or something

But yeah. I don't really want a regular cab. I like being able to fit more than one other person if I need to. Plus as you all know, I'm VERY good at filling my vehicles with all kinds of bullshit. I also require the ability to crank out some jams, and a sub box behind the bench on a regular cab would take too much of the very small amount of interior storage

I like how you buy only brand new vehicles and hopeless basket cases. It's like looking at my own life if I bought any new vehicles.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Is the foxboro car show this Thursday or next?

It looks like I'll be running i93-i95-i90 daily so I may just start going every time since that's not too far out of my way.

Just FYI, Toyotas are notorious for having issues with aftermarket cats, hence a big chunk of the price difference

They were buying no-name ones - and their part numbers were for reg cab sized ones, not extended cab. Apparently they're different. Also, they only listed two, rather than all three, and the one they forgot to put on the list was the one with the worst rust/wear problems. It's just a shitty shop.

What kind of issues? CEL from the converters not being efficient enough? Fitup?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You'll reconsider once you get on 95.
I drove 95 a couple times during rush hour for the interviews and it really wasn't all that bad. Maybe I'm just used to sitting in traffic in a shitty truck with no AC.

But I assume you didn't drive all the way to Foxboro? Stays shitty south of 90 most afternoons.

EDIT: I'm assuming you'll go ahead and do it anyway because you're Ken, just trying to give you fair warning.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I used to run down to the car show a couple times a summer in that traffic... yeah that part sucks for sure. I forgot how bad it is south of 290+90.
