THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone else getting this "threat found: env.nocache" virus warning or whatever?

only happens on naxja for the past day or so.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I said I'd pay 10 for them to flare it and he said it was an insurance issue, I told him if he couldn't trust his mechanic to flare a brake line he should get a new one

Sometimes it sucks being out in the sticks

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Fuuuuuuuuuujjjj harbor freight

Only had to flare two ends of brake lines, got one done and it stripped the threads and won't hold the line anymore, brand new kit too

Ffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
buy a single flaring kit in the plumbing aisle of home depot, combine with the double flaring buttons from the harbor freight kit, throw em all in the HF carrying case and sell the HF kit original contents for 10c/lb at the scrapyard. Now you have exactly the same flaring kit I have and for the same reason.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's currently enjoying a car ride with my wife to be returned....minus the 3/16 button for the hassle

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My nice set is in the same box as my impact gun and cd changer I was putting in the mj

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

no shop in town will flare one end of a brakeline for you? id do it in 42 seconds for nothing.

and never in my life have I ever purchased a premade brakeline, for personal use, or the shop. I just make them up. you usually have to bend the shit out of them to get them where you want them anyway.

Something like my brother's charger I would probably buy the pre-made kits for. They're really not expensive and they drop right in especially without the drivetrain/exhaust in the car.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've always bought the coated sticks and bent/flared them myself but the closest tool/parts store aside from the local napa is 40mins away

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone running the AGR Super Box 2? Worth it on a DD? I have a durango box right now but it's leaking so...rebuild that or go AGR?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I haven't heard anything good about AGR.

Get the PSC "Road Handling" box. I put one in my brother's XJ.

Friggin thing drives like a brand new car now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'd love to go PSC but don't have the coin. Found the AGR box used for $225. Just wondering if it's worth it over the $30 i would have to spend for a rebuild kit for my Durango box

I only remember a few years ago there were numerous issues with AGR stuff.

I wouldn't trust going with them.

I would save the coin and buy the PSC box when you can.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

thanks that's all i needed to hear.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Don't buy the PSC box, send then in a core box and have them rebuild it. So much cheaper for the exact same thing. Mine cost me under 300 including shipping and is built to the hilt with all the bells and whistles they offer.

I'm running a yj/grand waggy box in mine from advanced auto works great with 38's and a locker

Wrong. Not the same thing.

Yours is still a Saginaw box with a variable ratio, these are Delphi boxes with a fixed ratio.

I'm sure yours is still a great box, but its not the "exact same thing"

I've heard horror stories about parts store boxes, but I'm glad yours is working out for you.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

those YJ/Waggy boxes are 4 bolts right? I think they're the same bore as a stock XJ box though...or at least the same size as the Durnago one

And i refuse to buy one from a parts store - too many screw ups in their rebuild process and crossed part #s.
