Anyone know what size/thread the steering shaft bolt is?

I think it's M8 x something.

Mine's a bit mangled.

the one that secures it to the box? pretty sure its M10x1.5, maybe 30mm length?

Yup the one that secures it to the box (orbital in my case). I thought M10s usually had a 15mm head? This one has a 13mm head which an M8 usually has...

They are load range E though

That's not bad. They won't flex or grip as well off road as a load range c which you might not enjoy. But they are on a tougher carcass.

J420 0400, M8x1.25 30mm. Make sure you get one with the right unthreaded shank length if possible, though it doesn't matter as much with hydro steering probably.

Mine is a load reactive orbital.

There is some resistance.
