THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yea. Gotta clean it up inside and out too.. Same with the vw they're both dirty as hell. Next time I'm in the shop at work I gotta grab some connectors to make the jeep doorless easier.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ive gotta figure it out, im assuming its air intrution inless the injectors are super worn out, it prob be a real smart thing to get a pyro gauge or i could just keep saving pennies and get 42's first. saw a obs ford with stacks at autozone, to bad it was a 460 and not a IDI, ****ing poser
buy 42's first. if the truck pulls a herman i'll just come get the jeep memorial day weekend. as it is I'm probably going to have to make a few trips to pick up rigs that friday anyways. good thing i got bags for it now.

have no interest on getting the truck on the road yet, all money is going into the jeep looking to order tires either the 25th or the 2nd then ill just have to get bolts and o rings for the wheels

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I talked to Randy's last night about warrantying that shaft, and they were awesome. I told th guy I was driving like an idiot and he said that's why they sell chromo's, so you can use the rig like its meant to be. He apologized and said I could just send him a picture of the damaged shaft instead of shipping it to save me some $$$. Hopefully it was just a fluke and the new one holds up.

I found a junkyard with boats in stock yesterday.

That's pretty badass.

I'm wiring up the OHC using cat6 cable like a boss. But of course I don't have any extenders so I can't terminate it all awesome. Ill have to go back and do that another time

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Make sure you use one twisted pair for the CCD bus (white/black and purple/brown or purple/green iirc) or you're going to be tracking down signal integrity issues forever.

Ya think so? Ok. I still have two black wires at the display end of the OHC not connected to anything but everything looks like it works. Haven't driven it or anything but I have signal for all the modes

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You might get lucky. Might not. It's under 30kbps differential serial iirc, I would do it right to make sure though, pretty noisy environment and they used twisted pair from the factory even though it's more expensive... if it's already done, run it and see what happens.

Ya not a big deal if I have to take it down again, toning and using the multimeter to find all the wires was the long part, everything is labeled now so I know where it all goes. I might not have the temp sensor hooked up right but I'm not sure bc I can't find the actual sensor Ross gave me .. Might be at my parents house

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A ZJ sensor should work just as well iirc, they're just a chrysler parts-bin thermistor outside air temp sensor.

I actually have to take it down again anyway to replace the lights in it with LED. So ill check it then and terminate rj45 ends on it and it'll be permanent

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Plugs oil and filter yesterday that was fun.

Trying to find an engine hoist so I can get my old jeep outta here. Moneys going right to the jeep tires and wheels fund.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The bar I go to is right across the street from a large regional hospital, so we get some interesting people in there every so often who need a break from sitting in waiting rooms etc.

I started talking to this older guy last night because I overheard him say something about a vintage guitar he was working on...turns out he's a collector and does some refinishing work, re-fretting, etc. And he works on old tube amps and builds/rebuilds power amps, signal processing equipment, a whole bunch of cool stuff.

This is because back in the day he worked for NASA and some other government groups on guidance systems and amplifiers for missiles and some of the earlier manned expeditions (namely, he worked on stuff around the time of the Saturn V). Apparently they need time to build thrust similar to a turbo so the rockets were tethered to the ground with exploding bolts, and after the rocket built enough temperature at wherever these bolts were located, they'd blow apart and let the thing lift off.

So then we got into lunar stuff, and how there's a radio recording that was picked up by an amateur shortwave operator of a guy on one of the first moon-landing crafts describing large space aliens ("They're huge and they're all around us! They want us to stay away from the dark side"). And how there must be some kind of alien establishment on the dark side of the moon, and the moon must be hollow with some sort of gyroscopic device in the middle to prevent it from rotating, because how else would it always remain stationary? Wouldn't it have picked up some sort of rotation from debris impacts over the years? But instead it remains stationary around a sort of 'wobbling' axis, and because of that it must have been placed there to control the tides and ensure that our planet ended up being suitable for human habitation.

:wierd:

He then concluded the conversation by saying the had to go back over to the hospital and see if his wife stopped throwing up yet.

I'm totally gonna be that guy in another 30 years.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Huh.

According to the NASA Astronaut Neil Armstrong, the Aliens have a base on the Moon and told us in no uncertain terms to get off and stay off the Moon. According to un-confirmed reports, both Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin saw UFOs shortly after that historic landing on the Moon in Apollo 11 on 21 July 1969. I remember hearing one of the astronauts refer to a "light" in or on a crater during the television transmission, followed by a request from mission control for further information. Nothing more was heard. According to a former NASA employee Otto Binder, unnamed radio hams with their own VHF receiving facilities that bypassed NASA's broadcasting outlets picked up the following exchange:

NASA: Whats there?
Mission Control calling Apollo 11...

Apollo11: These "Babies" are huge, Sir! Enormous!
OH MY GOD! You wouldn't believe it!
I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there,
Lined up on the far side of the crater edge!
They're on the Moon watching us!

A certain professor, who wished to remain anonymous, was engaged in a discussion with Neil Armstrong during a NASA symposium.

Professor: What REALLY happened out there with Apollo 11?

Armstrong: It was incredible, of course we had always known
there was a possibility, the fact is, we were
warned off! (by the Aliens). There was never any
question then of a space station or a moon city.

Professor: How do you mean "warned off"?

Armstrong: I can't go into details, except to say that their
ships were far superior to ours both in size and
technology - Boy, were they big! and menacing!
No, there is no question of a space station.

Professor: But NASA had other missions after Apollo 11?

Armstrong: Naturally - NASA was committed at that time, and
couldn't risk panic on Earth. But it really was a
quick scoop and back again.

According to a Dr. Vladimir Azhazha: "Neil Armstrong relayed the message to Mission Control that two large, mysterious objects were watching them after having landed near the moon module. But this message was never heard by the public - because NASA censored it."
According to a Dr. Aleksandr Kasantsev, Buzz Aldrin took color movie film of the UFOs from inside the module, and continued filming them after he and Armstrong went outside. Armstrong confirmed that the story was true but refused to go into further detail, beyond admitting that the CIA was behind the cover-up.

edit: Wait a minute. The guy told me his name was John Harris. There's a British artist named John Harris who was known for painting alien landscapes in the late 70's. This guy wasn't British, but I'm beginning to wonder if he was just ****ing with me the whole time. If so, kudos to you, sir. That's even more likely to be me in 30 years.
