Yes and no. The latch hardware and the hinges need to be swapped, IIRC.

I believe it was, internal slave 21 spline, external 23 spline so the break was around 93-4
The ax15 showed up late 89 so like the 96 xjs and 29 spline rears, some had it, some didn't

My ax15 was definitely an internal slave 23 spline, I remember that. It was a 90, which I thought was the first year for ax15, could be wrong about that.

Mill I wanted was listed on craigslist I think yesterday for the price I wanted. Had the window open, refreshed it this morning just to make sure. Already deleted.

I think they are all 23 spline but you are right about it showing up in late 89.

I thought all AX-15s were 23 spline?
pretty sure you are right about 4x4 ones.

I know some of the 2wd 4cyl trannies had a 21 spline output shaft and slip yoke, because I discovered a 21 spline slip yoke wouldn't fit onto a 27 spline output shaft one time, but I can't find any solid info about 21 spline 4x4 ax15 availability. Gonna go with "they don't exist" I guess.

How come the eye is bent?

Top of the broken shaft end hit the framerail and the bottom of the shock body hit the knuckle when the DS compressed after drooping out. both eyes are bent and the shock body is trash.
