THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dana 60s are great traction aids, who knew?

Backed up out of my driveway over 2-3" of snow, open rear diff, mallterrains, in 2wd. Maybe I should just leave it in the bed forever.
after having both of my 60's welded up at colins johnnys truck nearly made it all the way back to keene in 2wd in that pre hawloween snow stom in 2011

If my leaf springs would take it, I'd throw the kingpin 60 in there too and see how it did. It's already bashing the bumpstops every time I hit a pothole so I'm not trying that right now :wow:

J10 took 2 kp 60's like a champ.

Hell, it took a bed full of water like a champ too.

Those leaf springs did end up under a comanche actually... all he had to do was relocate the front hole in the leaf hanger about an inch, axle was centered and shackle angle was titties.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

someone explain this shit to me, truck has been in the garage for a month, driveshaft has been out the whole time to with no trans plug. hasnt leaked a drop, even ran the motor on fri with no issue, magicly in the pass couple hours its started to piss fluid everywhere, just puzzling why it would do it now

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's the wonder of an auto trans.

I had an AW4 in my storage unit for 2 years completely drained, pan had been off it and cleaned out, regasketed. Hung it from one bellhousing bolt hole on my engine crane for TWO DAYS, over a drip pan, and got an irate call from the storage lot manager asking why it appeared the exxon valdez was berthed in my unit. Went there to investigate and the trans had leaked several quarts out, made the engine hoist leak down, tipped the drip pan over, and spilled the ATF all over the floor.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yup, had that happen to my 1/2 ton.

Cheap any easy fix thankfully. Better than Fords that mount rusts out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

your silverado or another truck? and mounts aint that bad once the bed is off

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

He shoulda got an MJ, then the uniframe bracket for the shackle is thinner than the shackle and rots out first!

My old 1/2 Silverado.
Also did a set on my father's old Dakota.

The PIA about the Fords is the rivets.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

closed the deal on the Burb today! now Im all set I bought a house and tow rig in one!

Wait... you bought Jordans Burb?? Cool!!! That thing is comfortable to drive, and pulls pretty well too. I used it and his trailer to take my MJ up to Rausch when I sold it to the park manager.
