I find out on Friday if I get furloughed. 22 days off, every Fri from April to Sept... Could be worse, but I'll have to make the $ back somehow. I've thought about under the table mechanics stuff, simple stuff like brake jobs and whatever. Ideas?

That sucks dude.

My brother does that with one of his friends. Works out ok, he makes decent money, but there are times when you get into a job and need a special tool that you didn't foresee. I think they were doing an alternator or something stupid on a VW and it needed some special BS tool.

Sell ammo? Fix bicycle shit? Whore yourself on the street?

Is that because of the sequester cluster**** or something unrelated?

Yeah, I'm sure that will happen. I thought about selling ammo, but that's an instant-go-to-jail card if you do it without the proper license. Could do bicycles, but not much $ in it.

Whoring myself out? Let the bidding start at $5. Let's see how much I can get.

Edit: Just shot Scotty a message asking if he needs help with boats. I know he's always busy.

Dammit, im a idiot and ordered a 1350 ubolt kit instead of a bolt and strap kit, anyone need a ubolt kit for a 1350 joint?

I fixed a bunch of stuff on a guy I work withs car the other day for some cash.

started out just do cap rotor and plugs, and patch some pin holes in the exhaust to quiet her down.

turned into the exhaust manifold being cracked so bad it was in two pieces. then when I took the heat shield off it just barely touched the radiator and blamo huge hole.

it could have ruined it for me cause paying for a new rad would have brought my profit down to zero. but he was a nice guy and payed the 80 bucks for a new one.

anyone else having problems viewing hosted photos with photobucket etc... to a forum. all i see is blue block withs question marks with my android.

I got a bunch of stuff off of a 2012 HD Fat Bob

rear swing arm
inner and outer primary
rear fender
handle bars
seat with strap
front and rear wheel with almost brand new tires, rotors, and belt drive sprocket
and a Vance and Hines exhaust

also my stupid dome lights are stuck on in my xj. anyone run into that problem. only way to shut em off is to pull the fuse under the hood. pushed all the door button things in and out and that makes the light dim but doesnt shut them off.

Try unplugging the door jamb switches?

That sucks. My friend Mason is in the same boat. There is money to pay them, but they cant work without the gov inspectors on site.
Under the table mechanical work is probably your best bet. If you were closer I would see if my dad needed any help with construction, but it would be a long commute.
What about photography? I know it dosen't pay all that great, but you could always do some freelance work for a newspaper.

Thanks. All set with the long commute but thank you for the offer.

Good idea, I'll keep it in mind. I'd do weddings before newspaper work... I don't even know how much I'd charge. ****. I know some of you guys think my stuff is nice but the pros blow me away.
