Guys, this isn't trying to kill the fun or anything and I don't want to hash this out a 1000x before the event. We mean it. Rowdy? Stay away from Twin Grove and the NACFest events. Period.

We just don't need things like barrel rolls down hills, tail lights getting kicked, yelling, profanity, etc, etc. It is not the image we want to portray as or for the wheeling community. This effects such a small group of people it should not be an issue. Everyone can have plenty of fun without that stuff.
NACFest is about wheeling.

Renting a cabin is not going to solve the issue if you can't keep it to a "normal" good hangout style event.

This is only going to affect a very small group of people (you know who you are).
Those that have not been spoken to before should be fine.

Let me put this as bluntly as possible:
We are in danger of not being allowed back. We are out of warnings. We loose Twin Grove, NACFest dies. The BOD is going to risk losing an excellent event so a couple people can be party animals.

Yes I would like to come only to hang out with my friends even if I don't want to bring a jeep. Yeah we all have jeeps that's why we're friends but you're a major dick if you think I shouldn't show up if only to hang out. If that's the case everyone leave their girlfriends home, then after wheeling everyday everyone just branch out separately. What a stupid thing to say.

No one PLANS on getting us kicked out. We ALL want to go there every year. Come to think of it, all of us are planning away to not have to worry about. Either by seclusion at the campground or somewhere else. Have a problem with that? Say so, we'll do it somewhere else. But don't be a prick to the people that are just trying to have some fun. We're not trying to rain on your parade so don't rain on ours. See you there.

I didn't pick up your phone call because I don't have you in my phone so I didn't recognize it and would rather continued listening to Pandora while driving. Make no mistake either, I have no problem with you and if you want to talk call me some other time but I doubt it's needed. We know we're loud and we're trying to figure out something that will be the best for everyone, that's all.

rowdy= find a place other than Pine Grove to Stay

not so rowdy= Stay at Pine Grove

Pretty self explanetory to me. If peaple have a problem with the rules this year then simply dont go, like it has been said being rowdy will NOT be tolerated this year.

just fyi, being as loud as we have been in the past at pine grove is also looked down upon at RC, it just depends on who else is there. if its a whole bunch of dudes with a lot of wheeling groups (as it has happened in the past... i know steel soldiers and some yota group always happen to be at RC when we do nacfest) its more than likely gonna be fine if people are loud. but if there isnt a huge crowd, and the other people camping arent the partying type, you WILL be dealt with by park staff.

Agreed. I have no intention of ruining the event for everyone, but I also have no intention of missing the chance to wheel with people I only get to see once or twice a year. Like Bill said, the rowdy people know who they are, so I'm sure we can work something out to get together and stay at a different place, and not use the name.

Same here, this is a great event and a great to chance to meet new people and see some familiar faces. I had, and have, no intention of ruining the event for others. I understand my behavior was over the top last year, and I apologize, I will take it somewhere else this year. My only gripe is that this was not addressed via PM, or in person, before it was brought up here. I have no issue being told I need to tone it down, but say it to me, don't make insinuating blanket statements about 'certain people's' behavior.


On another note, it's ****ing 14* out, it's really hard to motivate myself to work on the ZJ, but I gotta do it...

You too are taking this a bit far.

Let me get this very clear. I want everyone to stay at twin grove an have a good time. I don't want all these separate little gatherings that is not what this event is for and never will be.

I/we made the choice to post it up as a blanket statement because it isn't, and wasn't, just you. I didn't want to single anyone out and make them feel unwelcome. Frankly if we did just talk to the handful of people that doesn't stop the guy that is new and doesn't understand. By making the statement general it comes everyone and all bases.

Again, I don't want to see anyone go off to a different site. Come hang out with the group and have a good time. Pat, your first gluten free beverage is on me!

I'm 100% with Bill on this.

I plan on camping with everyone at the campground and getting drunk but not being obnoxious. It's not hard.

I don't want to lose our ability to stay at the place and its not that big of a deal. We can all still get hammered and have fun, just not piss anyone off.
