Don't listen to anything I say about MS.

I've got the electronics bit covered. I'm more interested in the VR snesor mounting if you've got it on a 4.0. Thinking 36-1 trigger wheel on the front o the harmonic balancer.
batch fired injectors.

some other things that should not be done to a stock 4.0...

we'll endeavor to make a stock 4.0 not lame.
User has a history of engine abuse, rev limiter and all that. So this way if it pops it's just a junkyard motor away from being fixed, rather than grenading a bunch of expensive stroker hard parts.

we're looking for 300 HP or so out of it on pump gas with a sane amount of boost.

this guy got 500HP out of stock internals with E85 and 13 PSI

Sounds like a fun project.

I'm running fuel only and tapping off the negative side of the coil so I can't help ya much with the VR sensor.

we'll be going full ignition control as well, very likely with an EDIS-6 module and waste spark, hence the 36-1 wheel, it's native to the EDIS controller, then it spits out a pulse per rev that we can feed the MS unit for injector timing. Doing speed/density. Using a bunch of stock ford parts for the VR sensor and all that, so we can keep parts store availability on all the ignition bits.

the details are pretty much nailed down. Now it's on to gathering parts and spending money.

Colin shouda just kept the 4.0 and run a 6" lift and 33's with limited slips instead of ruining a comanche.

Any of you dudes know where to find a good D44 rebuild write up? I need all the torque/preload/backlash specs.

im pretty sure yukon has a pdf you can print out with all that. the same thing they supply with all their install kits.
