Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

some idiot on that cl trading post just offered me $200 for a complete plow setup I have listed for $600 "reasonable offer."

I think I'd rather set it on fire in my driveway than sell it for that. WTF is wrong with people? He's been leading me around on it and tried to trade me a woodsplitter for it too, then the day we were going to meet claimed it broke.

Travis, your buddy still looking for a plow? I will literally drop it off in his driveway for 400 and help him in any way I can with the wiring to make it work.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken is it a minute mount setup? I cant remember. And did you ever send me pics of it?

No offense but do you really think it's worth that much? We get plow setups all the time and they typically just sit there until we scrap them unless it's like a brand new plow and it's we sell it for like $300. Don't forget not many people are worried about snow either, last year was nothing. A lot of people would rather a snow blower. I'd sell it for $200 in a heartbeat personally if it was sitting on my lawn. I'd rather $200 in my pocket than a pile of metal in my yard.

I didn't - forgot to. http://worcester.craigslist.org/pts/3315097250.html has some pics.

I can patch it if he wants, and like I said, I'll do anything in my power to make the wiring work for him as well. If he thinks it's not worth what I'm asking, an offer is fine.

I had an offer for 500 this spring but the guy bought something else before I managed to cut the truck up. I figure since it's got damn near new hydraulics it's probably worth a bit more than 300, but we'll see.

Really I just take offense at someone seeing $600 and offering $200. Especially after leading me on for basically a month, month and a half or so - first he said he was interested, then every time we agreed we'd meet up some time so he could take a look at it he'd either flake or just stop responding, then he said he'd trade a wood splitter (which I'd love), but flaked claiming it broke the morning he was going to show up. Then just plain disappeared, then tried to lowball me without even seeing it, then super lowball out of the blue and now claims he fixed the splitter, but immediately stopped responding again when I said I was still interested in trading.

He's all bullshit and talk, and no cash.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I do nothing but lowball people. That's what the internet is for. I'd say four times a week I find some craigslist ad of something I really want and I'll offer like one third his asking price. Most people plain don't answer but every so often you get "If you're serious and have cash, come get it now" and that's what most of us poor assholes pray for.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A straight out low ball offer I can understand, but this guy's been making a career out of repeatedly wasting my time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ok so not a minute mount...scotts is an 03 and he'd want minute mount. Carsmelo, if you guys get one, let me know. Scott'd likely be interested

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Screw plows.

My budget calls for a used shovel!

Ya that sounds familiar, I think those are the ones that sell. Doubt we'll get any until after winter.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Its a meyers homeowner special, not a minute mount, and looks rough. Take $200 and run.

Real plows are Red

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It used to work, then I followed sir William Watkins advice and slammed the bumper into a ledge while pinning 2nd gear. Now it kind of works in one direction when it wants. Sometimes. Totally Billy's fault because we all know I am incapable of making smart/responsible decisions.

i wheeled with bump twice when he had that xj. once it caught on fire and the second time one of his 9" shafts walked out on the highway.

I really need to come wheel you with cats.

this sounds like my kind of group.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

97 Cherokee an external slave? Going to look at a 97 5 spd tomorrow apparently the clutch needs bleeding, not very familiar with manuals.

It has not sold, pinion bearings on its way out in the rear end. I'll be rocking 2 jeeps. Plan is to take the 99 off the road and fix all the little things and try to sell it again. Who knows maybe when I fix it I'll wanna keep it.
