THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

We just got 174 proof out of our new still setup, and collected a half gallon at 160+, from 5 gallons of mash.

So 10% yield of over 160 proof, where the old still had maybe 10% yield at an average of ~120-130. And it tastes much, much nicer.

Guess you could say I'm practicing too. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I have a gopro camera now. I took it on my dive last weekend. Other than diving and eventually Jeeps, anyone got any cool ideas on what to do with a gopro?

I suppose I do have an XJ now that I can drive up.

That Friday was one of the coolest days I can remember.

I wanted to drive the new rig up sans windshield and run it up Mt. Washington, but I think the timing might be prohibitive of that at this point.

I'd like to go again though. And not spend all day Saturday on one obstacle at Wayne's World.

I think Ken is one of the more sane people in this world.
:scratches head:

Carmelo's head at fall crawl...

Strapping it to my brother during a night of drinking has already been discussed. He doesn't say retardedly weird and funny things like carmelo, but I can guarantee you it would not be dull.

you have no idea how impressed I would be if you built that thing and drove it from NJ to Mt Washington, with no windshield, without getting bagged and/or impounded.

No windsheild: just wear a helmet and goggles. My friends uncle was pulled over for a windshield down in his YJ. That's all the officer cared about. I see people in NH with theirs folded all the time though..

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There's wording in MA law that says the windshield has to be there. I already tried looking.
MA could be avoided :dunno: it would just be a long, scenic drive

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I love driving around in my dad's TJ with the windshield down. Driven by a few cops on and en route to the beach, haven't said anything yet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A wrangler with the windshield down is totally different than a buggy or something with no windshield at all.

You're right. Even if your windshield is folded down, if it has a crack in it or a big sticker, you can get a ticket for obstructed view or failure to maintain your vehicle.

If you don't have a windshield at all, that's cool. Same goes for turn signals; if you have them, they have to work, but if you don't, hand signals are OK.

Laws are silly.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I am now completely confused as to the meaning and intent of the frame rules for KOH modified class.

Kinda like I just posted. If you have a frame, you can't XXXX with it. But feel free to build an entirely custom frame to make your project work.

Meanwhile the rules say:
- the balance of the OEM frame must remain whole
- can't be narrower than 16" at any given point
- frame rails must be within 4" vertical height of each other
- frame must extend at least to the OEM motor mount location

So either those last few rules are written to exclude certain OEM frames from being used, or they're written to describe the limits of what you can do with your frame rails.

Ya know, XXXX me for even asking. Should have just done it and no one would have known.

Only reason I'm venting here is because my work PC won't go on Pirate and I don't feel like typing on my phone right now.
